Received a quote to replace broken garage door. The man providing quote was on time for the appointment and very courteous. He explained step by step each part of the process. Looking forward to doing business with this company.
Scam Service , Scheduled an appointment for a Thursday afternoon at 4p.m. Representative did a no call no show , then shows up at my house unannounced with no pre warning at 11:45 the next day . I work from home so I’m in the middle of work and ask him to take a look and give me an estimate. Finishes the estimate tells me he can fix it for $235 not explaining what he’ll do , but making the statement “I’ll be paying for knowledge today” , I return to work assuming he’ll need some time and he proceeds to fix the door . After about 10 mins I return and the garage is fixed and he charges me. Before he leaves I stop and ask him what all did he do he tells me he basically sprayed oil on the tracks to help it open and shut quietly and he moved the sensor a little by unsnapping the sensor and moving it up, cause it had been bumped causing it to not align with the other side. Basically something he could have told me and I could have done myself. After he leaves I check my billing statement and he charged me for a keep quiet package , nothing that was even discussed with me, for $235. I call customer service for a refund and am told I will get a call back due to the supervisor being busy. I have yet to receive call back and it’s now three days later. Please don’t schedule with them it’s a scam.Unfortunately once my first review was posted OGD responded with lies and misinformation.Response to OGD 04/16No call from customer service has yet to be received, nor was there a call about a reschedule. Why would I reschedule an appointment during my work hours ? Not to mention my garage camera clearly shows where your technician states that he missed the appointment due to a personal matter with his girl friend . As well as the invoice I was sent had nothing to do with what actually happened. Unclipping a sensor was no where apart of that description . Like I said SCAM SERVICE!!!! I was never given a full description of what would be done I was only assured he could fix the problem. I’ve included pictures below , the only thing listed in the package that I received was door lubricants and for $235 that’s a SCAM!!!!
