I had a broken spring on a very old heavy wooden double door garage door that is 50 years old. I called garage door doctor based on their reviews, and I can assure you they more than deserve the great reviews they have on here. The person who took my call was extremely helpful and told me he could have somebody out the next day. I was expecting it would take a week. He also quoted me a price based on what I had described to him. My technician was Michael and I cannot say enough good things about him. Because of the age of the door a number of the metal parts had rusted and would need to be replaced. Michael discussed this with me and explained everything and the additional cost was reasonable, with no additional labor charges despite the fact that he was here for almost the whole day working on the door. If you are trying to decide who to call for your garage door repair you cannot go wrong with this company. They are extremely upfront and reasonable about repair costs and they do a quality job.
One of our garage door springs broke last night and we called Garage Door Doctor this morning as they came out today. They replaced both springs for not only safety reasons but mainly for our own peace of mind. Technician Mike E was awesome! I accidentally pulled wires out of my garage door sensor and was not able to fix them. I called the Garage Door Doctor and they were able to squeeze me in the next day. They used text messaging to communicate with me which was easy and convenient. They sent me one notification that the appointment had been scheduled with the time range (2 hour block). They also sent me one the next day when the technician was on the way that included his name and picture. That’s very helpful so you know who to expect upon arrival. Daniel was awesome. He showed me how to potentially fix it myself if I accidentally did it again and he also fully checked my door, making sure that everything was lubricated and checked to the condition of the moving parts. We also looked at my external garage door opener that I have never been able to use the entire time that I’ve lived here. He was able to help me determine that it was not operator error, but that the external panel did not work. I would highly recommend Garage Door Doctor. Their prices are reasonable. The technician was very friendly, and he arrived on time. Everyone that I spoke with was professional.
