The young man who came to service our garage door was very helpful and informative regarding how to maintain our garage door in good shape. He fixed our problem and did a general service. He was genuinely kind and sensitive to our needs. We very much appreciated his skill and consideration.
I had a wonderful experience when I was spending thousands and thousands of dollars on a brand new garage door, but now that I have issues, Michelle is not only NOT offering a solution, but bad mouthing the company I had to call for the emergency repair. The installer from creative attached to my garage door opener to the frame of the garage and not to the actual door. The garage door opener has now snapped off the door as the parts that were used during the initial Install were substandard. 2 tiny screw were used and were expected to fail so that they can get the repair costs down the roadCreative is not standing behind their work and saying that this is a spring issue, even though they won't send somebody out to inspect .. Not sure how they can diagnose something without seeing it but they are the experts right? I've asked for reimbursement on the partextremely disappointed?? adding to my review because I just read creative doors reply… what they have posted is completly false- I requested photos, Michelle said there were none. There was never repair done to my door after the initial installation until this week when the garage door opener snapped off the door frame because it was not attached to the door itselfMultiple times via email I requested for a manager to call me or to come out to the house to see in person, but because I had already had it repaired, they were not interested in reimbursing me for the partsThe door opener was installed by 2x1cm long rivets and the gentleman who fixed my door, said that this is not an unexpected repair the installer should've known that overtime, these would snap off being that they are attached to the frame and not the garage door itself.I feel so even accepting their poor quality, workmanship and trusting Michelle
Around 7am on November 14, 2025, a van with creative doors decals nearly caused a pile up on hwy 1 west by the end of the 216th merge on ramp.I was travelling 110km/h in the left lane with good distance, when the van, license plate SW 6522, merged in front of me travelling around 60km/h.It was raining and I slammed on my breaks hard. It was a very close call and very distressing as I was almost rear ended too. After slamming on my breaks, I was following them, travelling 60km/h for several seconds before the van began accelerating.Unsafe driving by this company, and I am very grateful this incident was only a near miss.
Over three months late on delivery, and no discount provided, due to the company’s own error. We ordered a garage door for our new build in the beginning of December with an estimated 6 week production and delivery time. They kept saying it was delayed and they expected it in the next shipment and then the next shipment. By the end of February I had to inquire as to where the door was. Upon their investigation, it turned out they had cancelled the order days after submitting it and never noticed. More than a month later, the door shows up bringing the total delay to over three months, two of which were after we had moved into the home. They failed to provide any discount on our door and installation despite the egregious delay that was entirely their own fault. The door is fine, though it does squeak and shudder. The wiring on the inside control was so loose it stopped working after a week and I had to repair it myself. Would not recommend this company to anyone. 1/5
TLDR: Creative Door provided the most economical option for our 16' X 7' garage door replacement. You must consider them in open tender. R-Value >9 would be overkill. We were referred to Creative Door by a family friend of ours. Our interaction with Dan (salesperson) and Sukh (installer) was amazing. We compared pricing against the following suppliers, in no particular order: Access Garage Doors, Casp Garage Doors, Garage Door Depot, Comfort Doors, Versatile Door Service, Doormaster, Home Depot, Overhead Door, and Capable One Door & Gate Services. We had time to do an open tender with 8X suppliers even though 2-3X is typical and so we can save you time with saying that Creative was by and far the most economical. Mind you, the door we had to install had to be of a certain style due to the appearance restrictions of a townhouse complex. Therefore, our requirement was an apples-to-apples comparison for all possible suppliers. Our final door was a Wayne Dalton 5120 with R-Value of 9. Anything beyond R-Value of 9 seemed overkill and definitely hit the law of diminishing returns, for our purposes. The installation took about 3-4 hours from removal of the old door to install of the new door. This also included installation of our supplied brand-new Chamberlain belt drive garage door opener that we picked up from Costco (which so happened to be on sale at the same time!!!) Lastly, the weatherstripping was installed, which was a great upgrade from the wooden door that was extremely old, moldy, and leaky. We can definitely feel the "insulation" the new door and weatherstripping has provided while we are still in the winter season.
