This guys is a wizard! I’m so glad he came out. Tried by best on YouTube but couldn’t figure it out. I was fully dialed in after a 30 minute visit. Call them !
Wow. My garage door opener stripped out... I bought a new opener from Home Depot and was going to have their contractor replace it. I thought about having my springs replaced at the same time and the Home Depot Company quoted me $750 just for the springs only. I thought that was expensive so I looked and found The Garage Door Man in Escondido. I called him and got a price for $395 (for the springs - $350 less). He came over and installed the springs, and found the "Trolley" mechanism was stripped out and I didn't need a new opener. So he's going to replace the Trolley and I'm taking back the opener to Home Depot and getting my money back. So The Garage Door Man just saved me $418 for the new opener / $200 labor for the other company to install it / and $350 for the price difference of the springs. Holy crap he saved me $968.00. I can't believe it. I'm totally stoked. Thank you Thank you Thank you !!!! If I could give 10 stars, I would.
I cannot express enough gratitude for Jim and his incredible team at Garage Door Man. From the moment I contacted them, their honesty and integrity were evident. Jim took the time to thoroughly inspect my garage door issue, explaining every detail transparently. Unlike other companies, there were no hidden fees or unnecessary upselling attempts. Their professionalism and dedication to customer satisfaction are truly commendable. Thanks to Garage Door Man, my garage door is working flawlessly again. I highly recommend their services to anyone in need of garage door repairs or installations. Jim and his team are the epitome of trustworthiness and reliability in the industry.
Responsive and friendly. Quality of work, acceptable. Pricing, sketchy. I called Jim in the morning and told him I had a broken cable. He told me it would cost around $195 to repair. He sent Hector over who immediately re-quoted the job at $480 and wouldn't budge. He listed all the things that needed to be done which were rudimentary. Cost of materials for about 20' of cable and some crimping was probably only about $20 tops. They were done in an hour. Be advised, bait and switch.
I obtained several bids on replacing a 30 year old heavy wooden Garage Door including online Home Depot and an attempt from Costco. Jim from Garage Door Man of Escondido was one of two written bids I obtained.I found Jim both knowledgeable and easy to talk too. His offered product matched what I was seeking. His bid ended up being exactly half the price of the other written bid and was hundreds less than Home Depot.FYI:Costco finally returned my original call a week later. The end result is that we have a beautiful new roll-up garage door that meets our "HOA" requirements and a very efficient LiftMaster Garage Door opener. His install was quick and very professionally done.I highly recommend his services... Thanks
