Robert was excellent. Knew his craft and demonstrated it with his work. I would not hesitate calling A-1 Garage Door. I used them before at our previous home.Great work, quiet Garage door. The builder installed cheap Garage equipment. Cheap door opener and weak door springs that was rated for a 150lb door. 0ur door weighted over 254lbsIt had a 65 lb lift weight instead of 3 lb lift weight. Big difference now with a 1.5 hp door opener and door springs rated for the weight of the door. Quiet door.
Joshua came out to service our garage door opener. We ended up needing a new opener along with springs and other things. He was very good at explaining what and why things needed to be replaced and provided our options. In addition, he was very personable and seems like a very caring person. It was evident in his demeanor that he genuinely likes his job and the company that he works for. That meant a lot! I would highly recommend Joshua, and if we ever needed additional garage work, I would be requesting that they send him! He was the best!
Alex was right on time. Introduced himself. He was personable, well spoken and professional. He inquired as to the challenge with the door. Listened carefully. Explained what he would do to determine the work necessary. Listened to me as a consumer and was willing to work with me on the project. Got to work on the job and got it done in a timely fashion.I shared with Alex and Jordan that I was satisfied with the work done and would give a positive review of the business.
Tony from A1 garage door was very reliable and efficient. He came on time and he worked, not wasting any time at all. He explained why my garage door was so noisy and replaced parts that was necessary. He also suggested of some parts to be replaced the next coming year. All in all I give him 5 stars. My garage door now runs smoothly. Will definitely advice friends to call them.
Overall he did a good job replacing the springs. Problem is that when he adjusted the chain, it stopped working and the motor hummed. At that point in consultation with another tech, he then told me I needed a new motherboard or a new garage door opener at an expensive price. Instead I purchased a new unit from home depot. I took the old one down and noticed the chain appeared to have a twist which probably created a bind. I loosened the chain and it worked again. I then reinstalled the unit and everything works as before and returned the new opener after a lot of wasted time to home depot. I now question the up charge for other new parts on the door that he replaced. The photo is my original now working opener. 2nd photo is where I readjusted the chain.
