Was given a "quote" and then changed more than they said, about $40 more. A quote and estimate are not the same first of all. When I called the company to ask why I was charged more than the quote. A guy answered and was very rude and didn't care what I had to say. They charged me for drive time from Harlingen to Weslaco 40 minutes and it only takes about 20 minutes. Then 35 minutes to change a spring which the last time took them 10 minutes. Total BS! The guy even said to me, "Well next time don't bother calling us". Never again am I going with them or recommending them.
Horrible communication. Went in and needed help. Sat there from 15 min, nobody came to help. Called and asked for information, got transferred and got a voicemail. I left a voicemail and never heard back.
Alamo door company is horrible! I would not recommend anyone to do business with them,.. the garage door panels were damaged and they took forever to replace them,,and when they did they were a different color,, the motor that lifts the door is cheap and I’ve had tons of problems,,I can keep going with all of the other problems but I choose not to,, be wise on who u buy from
was hung up several times on 2 different days. bad communication with the secretary Michelle. they never called me before they arrived. when they left for parts, they did not say when they were coming back. then they left with the remotes so I have to drive and pick them up from there office. I think you can find better service elsewhere. bad workers.
It was hard to get in touch by phone with this company. When I did get a hold of them the secretary would say the person or persons I needed to speak with were in a meeting and that she would take my number I never heard back on at least 2 of the 3 occasions. Even then I was stood up. I finally decided to go over one day during my lunch break. I noticed the phones ringing and the staff didn't answer them but instead made comments amongst themselves like I wish the phones would stop ringing. My wait was about 15 minutes once the staff finally attended me, I inquired about a garage door opener among other things. I got a quote written on scratch paper the guy who attended me also wrote his email address on the paper. We communicated from there only through email which was much better since he was good about responding. I finally decided to go though with having the garage door opener installed. They put me on the schedule pretty quickly. When the worker came to install my garage door opener he was not wearing a mask nor social distancing which bothered me; He also stated the wire would be exposed, I asked why they couldn't be hidden his reponse was that I needed to hire an electrician for that. Maybe I'm wrong but if an electrician was needed for the job then an electrician should have been sent. After the garage door opener was installed and the remotes tested he started to pack up his items I grabbed the remotes and instruction manual from the ladder and started to review them the worker then approached me and stated he wasn't finished with it. He then took the remotes and manual from me and then put them in his car. After about 10 minutes had passed he came back to the garage from his car he called the company so they could collect my payment. I provided my credit card information over the phone using his cell phone. Once payment was received I signed and he handed me back the manual and the remotes. Overall the experience was unsatisfactory I won't be using them again nor recommending them to anyone, if you must use them. Go in person and try communication through email. Also be careful and stay safe I work for the Public health department we are still in a pandemic regardless of vaccine status Covid-19 can be spread via close contact and contaminated surfaces. Mask usage, social distance and avoiding having customers touching workers cell phone's for payment should strongly be encouraged.
