The techs came out, assessed the problem and provided a solution in a relatively short period of time. They were nice and professional and did the job well. They went the extra mile to ensure that the other doors did not incur the same problem as the one they fixed. While they were more expensive than others they did a good job and probably worth the extra cost.
Florida Garage Doors is great company. They installed our garage door opener in 2016. They came again today to replace springs and service it. Service was great, I was very happy with the technician that came to my house. However, I was told there was a $70 fee just for the tech to come to my house. I agreed to that amount plus an unknown figure for labor and materials, as needed. I was shocked to find out the total cost only after services were performed. The tech was at my house for 15 minutes; he reset the lift box and lubed the hinges of the garage door. I assumed it would be around $100 for the limited service but was informed that their minimum labor fee is $180. To not disclose that minimum fee prior to the appointment left me with a sour taste; I feel it was dishonest, especially from a "family owned" business. A markup of over 250% from the original amount stated is absurd when it is not disclosed until you receive an invoice.
Jason is a Great professional craftsman of his trade. He took care of my issues and fixed other problems that he noticed. Honored the fact that it was Veterans day. Kept my cost to the best possible price. Thank you.
