Recent reviews often mention prompt scheduling and technicians who communicate clearly, provide time estimates, and take care to align and adjust doors. Positive feedback highlights professionalism and quality of installations. Some reviewers report concerns about pricing clarity and add-on services compared to initial phone quotes. A few comments also note disputes over service fees for warranty-related visits.
I called to see about getting our HomeLink buttons in our cars reprogrammed to our opener. The lady on the phone said that they could do that and it would be $60. They get here and quoted me just under $300. He couldn't just reprogram it, he would've had to do inspections and maintenance, most of it on the doors (which has nothing to do with our problem), before he could even try to reprogram it. And after all of that, it may or may not have been able to be reprogrammed. So I paid $60 for the tech to tell me that he can't do what I was asking for. Not his fault though, he was polite and apologetic about the misunderstanding, it's the person I spoke to on the phone that needs to learn how to communicate what exactly that $60 is paying for.
Windale Cooper provided outstanding service for my new garage door. Receives 5 stars for communication skills, quality of work and promptness. Would recommend OGD for any customers needed new overhead garage door service! Thanks!...
OGD provided accurate time estimates for our project. Both technicians we worked with were professional and friendly. Christian installed our new doors and he was very thorough. He took extra time to get the door properly aligned and running smoothly. I was very pleased.
Be careful if you use this company. I called them and they sent out a tech to give me an estimate. When I spoke to him on the phone he told me that I had a broke spring. He told me that when they replace the spring, the kit comes with new bearings, cables and a 5 year warranty. I was shocked when he quoted me the price...$574.00. I told him that was quite a bit more than I anticipated. He told me that he didn't set the pricing it was all done by the company. Reluctantly, I agreed because I needed my wife to be able to get her car out of the garage. I called back to the toll free number to ask some questions. I was transferred to "Customer Support." When I asked about the price, the lady said that they do in fact set all of the pricing, but she said mine cost that much because I selected the premium package where everything gets replaced. I told her that I wasn't given options on any different packages, just the one. She said did you ask the technician if there were any cheaper options? Did you ask him if your door really needed all of the part? I tried to explain to her that I'm not the expert on garage doors and I didn't know that I needed to ask those questions. I feel like if there are options available they should be given to the customer so that they can decide what they would like to do. The Tech spent 75% of the time on our phone call trying to upsale me and talk me in to going ahead and doing all 3 of my doors today, even though we only had an issue with the one door. I told the customer service lady that as well and her exact words to me were..."It sounds like he was giving you options." From the time that I got off the phone with the tech, calling my wife back to discuss, and then her giving them the okay to do the job to him being finished and ready for payment was 40 minute. It took him somewhere around 20-25 minutes to do what he did...Whatever that was.
Please do not use this company. They are not ethical and use deceptive business practices. I purchased a garage door opener and it was installed incorrectly according to their representative. The unit was under warranty and I was told there would be a $59 service fee. I was charged $234 dollars to correct the original installation that was done by them. I called and spoke to Brianna the manager and told her this and how I was mislead there would only be a $59 service charge. She was not helpful in resolving this. I regret trusting them hope you don’t get taken advantage of by them like I was.
