Monty, the garage door technician, came to install a new garage pin pad and connect new garage door openers, and then he noticed my garage door wasn't going up and down smoothly. I just assumed because the garage door is oversized that it was understandable that it didn't. He immediately pointed out that the springs used to open the doors were not twins which created a lot of unbalanced weight distribution, and with time would ruin the motor in a fairly new Chamberlain garage door system. I was not happy with that information. But, I could see for myself how the door shuddered and strained. He said it's a very easy fix. Just replace the smaller spring. He ordered it, came to replace it and now I can see the difference. The door opener mechanism works much better.With the new spring, he disengaged the system, showing me how to open the garage door in a power outage. I could lift it up no problem. That wasn't the case before.Thank you Monty! You rarely find a company that is honest and does a great job at a fair price.He saved me thousands of dollars in the long run. Because the garage door, without the proper new spring, would have blown out the motor of the garage door opener.

Amana came in, removed the old doors and replaced them with a beautiful set of black insulated doors. They were very efficient. They were clean and very courteous. I was very happy with the work and the product.

The garage door we were replacing was not even a garage door, it was a stud wall on hinges. I have been looking for 20 years for somebody that even wanted to take this job. I finally found a few contractors on HomeStars that would quote on it, but Amana was the only company that would do the whole job the way we wanted it and would actually provide the door that we wanted. They do not shy away from work, and are just as eager as the homeowner to have the job completed properly. They removed the dilapidated old door and took it away, reframed the opening, raised the joists inside to make room for the new tracks and installed the new door. It was done quickly and flawlessly. They also had aluminum cladding added to the frame, for a maintenance free finish. Their price was comparable to the other quotes, but I feel as though we got so much more for our money. Choosing Amana was an easy decision.
