Just wanted to send a note of appreciation for the excellent service we received yesterday, in repairing our broken garage door spring. I really appreciated how quickly you understood the problem, how promptly you were able to dispatch a repair person, and how professionally and efficiently the repairs were made. All finished within a couple of hours of the initial breaking of the spring!
Our garage door was getting stuck due to the cold and the bottom seal retainer was broken. We booked service on Monday morning and Trevor was on time, extremely quick and professional. He fixed the problems within 1-2 hours and the rates were reasonable. Would definitely recommend.
Aurora Overhead Door Inc replaced our two builder garage doors in 2006. We also used Aurora Overhead to maintain our doors and openers too. In December 2025, we decided to replace those doors to match the colour of the new aluminum installed on our house (not because there was any issue with those doors). We again visited Aurora Overhead. After reviewing a great selection of door styles, we were able to select a style to our liking and with a perfect colour match to our house aluminum. The order was placed on December 4, 2025 and installation took place on January 16, 2026. The installer, Anthony, worked in frigid temperatures to install new tracks, cables and the doors. Despite the cold he worked carefully and meticulously. Anthony left the work site cleaner than how he found it (though I had cleaned up prior to his arrival). Nathan arrived on January 17, 2026 to complete the aluminum trim around the new doors. It was warmer but still cold. Nathan too worked carefully and meticulously to complete his work and cleaned up afterward. With all work completed, the new doors and trim look fantastic and are quieter and smoother to operate than our old doors (as good as they still were). Jason, Anthony and Nathan were all great to work with. They were all customer focused, informative and thorough. We will continue to work with Aurora Overhead Door Inc. because they do good work, have a solid track record and we know we can trust them.
I have had a few projects over the last 6 years that Jason from Aurora Overhead has helped out on. His knowledge of current products on the market and his ability to match doors to different budgets is invaluable! The installers have been top notch ... polite and work clean! Keep up the good work!!!
Go with Home Depot! At least, they will provide customer service and call the manufacturer and deal with the contractors. Communication within Aurora Overhead was done poorly-you will have to talk to different people to get the job done. Unreliable and unprofessional was the impression that I got from Aurora Overhead after dealing with them for 4 months. (Details below)We ordered our new Classic Clopay garage door (R 12.9), Jackshaft motor, powder coated high ceiling rails, and etc in October 2024, didn’t hear from them for 2 months. My husband emailed them in December. They said that they don’t have all the parts. In Jan 2025, I had enough, I call them to complain then they book the installation right away.We thought our nightmare will end once the job was done, but the contractor didn’t finish the job leaving the weather strips in the snow on our driveway. Took a couple of appointments for him to finally show up and finish the job on day 3. And we paid the remainder the same day.On day 5, one of the insulated glasses broke from the inside due to the thermo shock. (Temperature inside our garage was 3 Celsius.) I had to talk to several people at Aurora Overhead and send them pictures to prove.Day 6, the contractor came back to fix the bottom rubber on the door and confirmed that it was the manufacturer’s fault and the office will take care of the matter.Day 21, two different guys show up to fix the window. The contractors brought a single pane glass in a wrong size instead of thermo glass. They ended up breaking the existing one further and left with a cardboard on top that flew away the next day- the day they said they will come back. At least, these young guys apologized for their mistake. It is day 28, we haven’t heard from them, so probably I’ll have to call, again. But I have doubts that they will do the job right. This is what we have after paying almost 8k.(I cover the opening with a cardboard box on day 22)
