Overall ratings suggest many successful repairs alongside room for clearer communication and troubleshooting consistency.
Javier came out to my home to give me an estimate on getting both of my doors working. After picking out my package he came back the next day to install my motors and adjust my door. Everything was completed fast and efficiently.
Very bad service. I was very specific about the issue when I called to request a work order for my garage. The technician was not helpful at all. I understand it was a difficult situation, but it felt like I paid for a service call just for someone to place a sticker on my door saying they attended the work order. There were no solutions proposed, no hands-on troubleshooting, and it honestly felt like they sent an inexperienced technician when I was expecting experts. The tech mostly stood there watching, then called his supervisor, who simply said I needed to contact a locksmith. That could have been communicated over the phone from the beginning and would have saved me both time and money.
The tech that was sent out was great. I just wish that when the first tech came out to repair my door would have installed it correctly because I had told him that there were times the sun shined on the west sensor and the door wouldn’t close unless we shaded it. He said that the new sensors wouldn’t do that. Well he was wrong. To change it and do it right would have cost me $315. I chose to buy some sensor protectors instead. Cost only $7.Also this could have been told to me over the phone instead of sending out a tech that charged me $60.
I called OGD to look at my garage door as it was not working from the wall or remote entry. The technician came out in a timely manner and was very nice, however the company is a complete scam. The repairman repeatedly attempted to sell us a full service for the door prior to diagnosing the problem with the opener. Three attempts ranging from 350 to 150 even after we requested he diagnose the reason the opener was not responding. He repeatedly called his boss for the price reductions for a full service. We finally just told the repairman we would call a different company to diagnose the issue with the opener and we paid his service fee of 60.The second company also came right out and was also very friendly. One of the repairmen this company sent immediately diagnosed the problem, pushed a few buttons on the motor, and the door immediately began responding to the remote and wall mount.Beware of OGD!! They could have fixed our issue for their 60 service fee but refused when we failed to fall for any of their additional sales pitches.
The technician that came out was great. Same day quotes and good prices. The commercial dept that you deal with for scheduling is awful. We’ve paid deposits to have multiple doors repaired at multiple storage facilities and we still can’t get a date, or a timeframe, on when they will send a tech out. Would not recommend this company for future work.
