I would give them 10 stars if I could. My garage door broke today at 1 30 in the afternoon. I called Precision immediately. They came within an hour and fixed the door. The technician was wonderful and very knowledgeable. I highly recommended them.
I recently had my mini garage door repaired by Brian.I went in expecting a good experience and a reasonable total (around $240 max including labor and parts), but I ended up feeling like I overpaid for what seemed like a simple repair.The initial issue was straightforward: one side door cable was twisted, which caused shaking near the spring and was wearing/eating a nut/bolt.Before the visit, I was told there would be a $99 show-up/estimate fee, and once the technician arrived, it felt like there was no real way to say no—especially since the estimate was presented on a fancy iPad. For context, I already had three estimates from local companies lined up(they work a lot in and near towns).The job involved replacing pulleys and cable parts (about 4 pulleys + 2 cable/catch parts) and took roughly an hour. I ended up paying about $325, including an off-the-book wire installation, and the setup was done in the opposite direction from before. Brian mentioned he’s been doing this for about 5 years.What concerned me most was that even after the main issue was addressed, there were many repeated suggestions to replace other parts that were still working (spring, motor, and more). While the door is working now, the overall experience felt more sales-driven than repair-focused.If you use this service, I strongly recommend confirming the full price (parts + labor) and the exact scope of work upfront, and be cautious about upsells.
