Originally, we had another company come out to look at our garage door after the belt started to dry rot. They quoted us nearly $5,000 to replace almost everything except the door itself. When I mentioned that seemed high, especially since everything else was functioning properly, they revised the quote down to $3,300 by removing some “nice-to-haves.” The whole interaction felt more sales-driven than service-oriented.
We decided to get a second opinion from Garage Door and Spring Repair, and I’m so glad we did. They responded quickly and were able to come out the same day. After inspecting the system, they determined that only the belt needed to be replaced and completed the repair for $160.
