The technician did a great job repairing it and explaining it all to me. It actually cost less than I was expecting. Excellent company!!

I booked an online appointment with Door Doctor same-day when my garage door spring snapped. Tyler was amazing answering all my questions about a new opener style, gave the system a full healthcheck, and quickly replaced my entire spring mechanism in about an hour. Very good service and reasonable prices especially for same day service. I will call Door Doctor again!

It's unfortunate, but I'm compelled to share my negative experience. Our garage door wouldn't close properly, especially during cold weather. Door doctor came to evaluate the issue and recommended few changes to our doors. Despite the significant cost for repair, the issue persisted. We called the door doctor back for reassessment, and agreed to pay more service fees. Of course, after taking time off work and waiting for them all morning, they did not show. Only after we called were we informed that the technician is unavailable. While we understand that extenuating circumstances can occur, we were just appalled that no one bothered to even inform us. Now we have to continue struggle with a malfunctioning garage door in the cold weather. All in all, lots of money and time invested, no solution, and no respect for our time.

Called door doctor to replace a broken spring in our garage door.
The technician showed up on time, was very polite and respectful, and notified us of arrival prior to showing up. The work was completed in a timely manner, and everything functions perfectly.

The only minor complaint I have is that when I called for the service, I was quoted $300 for the part and labour, but was informed by the technician that the standard price for the work is $350.
This is not the technician's fault, and is the responsibility of head office to ensure that these types of miscommunications do not occur.

Overall very satisfied with the service, and would recommend door doctor to anyone who requires their garage door to be repaired.
That being said, perhaps get a quote in writing ahead of time.

Nice garage door but….

I am very disappointed with the garage door installation service provided by this company. After only two years, the doors no longer open when the temperature drops to -20°C. Additionally, snow enters the garage because the doors were not properly sealed during installation. This is clearly a result of poor workmanship. See picture

When I reached out to the company to address these issues, they attempted to charge me additional fees for an inspection, even though the problems stem from their initial installation error. This lack of accountability and poor after sales service is unacceptable. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Latest update as of April 16 2025. I sincerely want to thank Kim Barbeau for taking charge of the situation, for being attentive, and for sending a technician free of charge to fix everything. I also want to thank the technician for his professionalism. I highly recommend the company.
