They have done multiple different doors for me at multiple projects, both commercial and residential. They have always been very knowledgeable and done a great job. Cory taught me a thing or two. I've never had an issue with this company for many years and they have always taken good care of my customers aswell.
All I wanted was some help. Very Rude on the phone. Sorry I'm not a door specialist and I dont know the vocabulary. Doesn't mean you can talk down to me. I've called a maintenance company. They can fix what you are to good for.
Our Experience with Queen City Doors – Buyer Beware (Update: Door Fixed)I've never done this before, but after three months of frustration, zero communication, and extremely unprofessional treatment, I feel obligated to share our experience. My wife and I recently bought a home in Pilot Butte built by Trademark Homes. The garage door was installed by Queen City Doors.Once winter hit, we noticed a large gap at the top of the garage door — nearly an inch wide. Cold air was pouring in, and our garage heater was running constantly. Obviously not acceptable in Saskatchewan winter. We contacted Trademark Homes, who had Queen City Doors call us.During that first call, I was told the issue was “thermal Bowing” due to cold weather and that this is something that happens. When I asked if someone could come out to inspect the door, I was told that wasn’t necessary. The conversation became heated, but I still requested an inspection. The lady insisted because she had 20 years of experience. We were told there was an upgraded weather stripping solution available. I agreed to purchase it out of pocket and was told it would arrive in 2–3 weeks. No one came to inspect the door.No follow-up calls. No updates. After over a month and -40 weather, I contacted Trademark again. I was then told the part was on backorder.Another month passed. Nothing.Three months later — still no communication from Queen City Doors. At that point, I informed Trademark that if this wasn’t resolved within a week, I would share my experience publicly. I own a business and have many business-owner friends, and I believe companies should be accountable for how they treat customers.Shortly after that, I received another phone call from Queen City Doors. Instead of resolving the issue, the call turned into personal insults. The representative called me “high maintenance,” said I didn’t understand garage doors, and basically told me to “go ahead and post” because they didn’t care aboutsocial media. The conversation escalated into a bit of a screaming match.During that call, after she called me uneducated about doors, I pointed out that she herself appeared uneducated, because brand-new doors that are known to bow in cold temperatures shouldn’t be installed without providing the part that prevents heat loss. As a small business owner myself, I honestly cannot imagine speaking to or treating customers the way she did. That level of unprofessionalism speaks for itself.Interestingly, shortly after that conversation, we were suddenly informed that magically Queen City Doors would have the part by Wednesday and could come do the work. I said they are no longer welcome on my property.I made one call and contacted Brett Saftner at K2 Overhead Door, and said they could come out the following Tuesday, fix the gap. They ended up correcting several issues with the brackets that Queen City Doors had installed improperly (Which they may have noticed if the lady on the phone didnt have 20 years experience and just sent someone out to look). Their service was fast, professional, and courteous — I highly recommend them to anyone needing garage door work.I also want to note that Trademark Homes has been excellent to work with throughout this entire process and has been very responsive. This post isn’t about revenge. It’s about accountability and warning others. Communication, professionalism, and basic customer service matter — especially when you’re dealing with homeowners in the middle of a Saskatchewan winter. If you’re building or buying a home, ask questions about who is doing your installations. We expected better. Please feel free to share.Trademark homes??K2 Overhead Door??Queen City Doors ??????
I called them on October 23rd and booked an appointment for November 19th. Nobody contacted me on the 19th, so I called the company the next day (November 20th) to follow up. That’s when I was told there was no appointment under my name or address in their system at all. So I ended up waiting almost a month for nothing.
Awesome service, I called and they were here within an hour and had our door working great very quickly. The price was reasonable and the service from the office to the guys working on the door was phenomenal. We had our torsion springs replaced and due to ground movement they put in rollers that could give more room for the movement. They also helped program a remote that I had purchased before and couldn't figure out. Thanks for the great work. I don't post many reviews but when service is this good I just had to.
