Jordan was very professional and knowledgeable. He provided detailed options in order to make an informative decision. It was a pleasure working with Jordan!
Kenny is a nice guy… He was very informative and was very professional
Kenny was on time, that really matters to me. In short order he had the old door off and was ready to install the new on. He left no trash, or screws. Everything was as clean as when he arrived. He took all of the trash with him instead of using our trash cans. Lived that respect. Before he installed our myQ pad he showed us the difference in the location and what it would capture so we could make the best decision for our specific needs.Last but by bo means least, Kenny walked me through the set up and use of the door, the remote, wall pad, and outside keypad. Including how to remove the keypad to charge the battery inside. He asked several times if we had questions. He patiently walked us through absolutely everything.Kenny, you do excellent work and your patience was appreciated.
Absolutely insane pricing. Double to triple elsewhere. I had a torsion spring break yesterday morning. I called Don's, they said they could have someone out in the afternoon. I asked if they charge a fee for coming on a weekend, she said "actually, it's probably cheaper".Jordan came out mid afternoon. He had to examine to see what springs were needed, after "educating me" on the springs for 10 minutes. I came out 10 minutes later to 3 springs sitting against my wall and received a 10 minute sales pitch. He grabs his tablet and gives me 3 options. For two springs, the prices ranged from $1030 for the contractor grade to up to $1500 for the high end one. I am familiar with this sales tactic but reluctantly said I'd do the middle one. Jordan needed to check out the rest of the door prior to installation. He then had me come out for another sales pitch. It would be another $700 for the basic "safety" parts (cables and bearings). Upon hearing this I told him to stop everything. Finally I decided to do what I should have done at the start and called a couple other places. They quoted between $400-700 for the job that Don's was quoting at 2-3x the cost. I was livid and told Jordan to leave...but then I got the final sales tactic. He called his "manager" to try to lower the price. He immediately dropped it by $650 and gave me a lower cost to start with. Considering it was the weekend and I needed my car to get my kids to school and get myself to work the next day, I let him proceed and finish the job. I still feel like the job was overpriced, even with the discount. Very unethical sales tactics. Note, it seems this is a national company trying to break into the St. Louis market. The reason I gave 2 stars versus 1 is because the both Jordan and the receptionist communicated well and were professional. Jordan was well trained in sales. I am hopeful the replacement parts and garage door hold up too.I would not recommend this company. I do not like writing bad reviews but am doing so to protect other consumers.
Excellent job. The Tech was very professional. The only problem was the side trim for door was the wrong color. The top of the door trim was the right color, so I suspect that I am going to see him again in the near future. Excellent job. Nothing has changed. He is a remarkable young man.
