I contacted Raynor Garage Door Company based on strong recommendations from family and friends. Unfortunately, my experience did not reflect those endorsements.After the initial consultation, I requested a quote for a garage door opener as well as pricing options for potentially replacing the garage door itself. I did not receive the additional door options as discussed and had to follow up multiple times with the salesperson. After receiving no response, I ultimately contacted the office directly to obtain the opener quote.At that point, I chose to move forward with replacing the motor only, as the garage door replacement information was never provided. On the day of installation, a different motor brand than the one I had approved was installed. Additionally, the unit was left without a lightbulb installed.As a realtor with over 10 years of experience and more than 300 homes sold, I regularly work with contractors and trades, including during a full gut renovation of my own home. Based on that experience, I would describe the communication, service, and overall responsiveness as below average. At this time, I would not feel comfortable referring this company out.
Very honest! When I first called, went thru all that I could fix (replace batteries, etc) to avoid unnecessary house call. When it became necessary for professional help, Shawn came out on early end of 3-hour window and made the necessary adjustments in short order. Checked my other garage door to ensure it was working properly as well! Never tried to suggest what would have been additional unnecessary repairs just to try to jack up the service charge. I highly recommend this business—even have a military discount!
Excellent experience from start to finish! The receptionist was very helpful, and Bryan Lightbourne helped me pick the best garage door openers for my needs -- and didn't try to upsell. He scheduled the installation for the very next day. The technician, William Carmichael, was right on time and took the time, not only to install the openers, but also to double check both my doors, and adjust them to ensure they last -- and he could not have been nicer. I highly recommend Raynor!
Friendly and extremely knowledgeable employees. They scheduled my service call within two days of my call. The technician that came out was knowledgeable, thoroughly inspecting all aspects of our doors , accessories and structural components and the openers themselves. The technician was also very friendly and courteous.
