Very impressed after the first visit, definitely my go to door company. My business had a bay door that was stuck, keeping us from important access to our shop. I was scheduled fast for a time that worked into my schedule. The tech was on time, professional and got the fix done quickly. The bill was much lower then the minimum service call from one of the other door companies in town.

Spokane Overhead Door is a GREAT company!My 37-year old cedar garage doors were beyond end-of-life and needed to be replaced. After much research, I chose CHI doors. CHI is in the top tier of garage door manufacturers. The company was founded by an Amish carpenter, but purchased by a private equity firm in 2015. The new firm made the entire workforce part-owners and shared a portion of the profits, resulting in workforce loyalty, which I admired. (60-minutes ran a feature story on them in May 2024). CHI also has one of the most robust warranties of the top tier companies.Spokane Overhead Door has an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau and is the only local vendor for CHI garage doors. I called to request a bid and Darian arrived at my home in less than 2 hours.The second page of the contract defines the terms and conditions of your agreement. Be sure that you receive it. It’s worth a trip to their shop to see their doors and finishes in person. I thought I wanted recessed panels and after seeing the doors in the shop, I selected the raised panels. I chose a high-quality, "super durable" powder coat finish (because of the exceptional protection) in dark bronze.Darian was my primary contact for all questions and concerns (and I peppered him with both). Darian is calm, gracious, communicative, and responsive (he unexpectedly responded to a text I sent to him on a Saturday).The 2 concrete slabs (garage floor) beneath my cedar double door had heaved up in the center, raising my old door enough that the top panel tilted inward. (The rollers sat too far back on the curved aspect of the track.) I was very focused on ensuring that all panels of my new garage doors would be vertical. Darian and I had several conversations about this. He provided ample assurance, but I am very detail-oriented and needed a specific explanation of how this would be accomplished.The doors arrived at the shop 5 weeks after my deposit was cashed and were installed a few days later. The doors were packaged well. My installation crew consisted of Jonathan, Tyler, Seth, and Austin and these guys were all PHENOMENAL! Every single installer paid meticulous attention to the fine details, handled each door panel with extreme care, and worked collaboratively with each other. They lined up the weather seals on the garage floor and made sure the nails were spaced symmetrically. The weather seals abutted with perfect alignment. And both doors were vertical! Darian was right! ??The single door panels had what I thought were a few small scuffs, but an installer advised me that this was glue on the finish and suggested that I use Goo-Gone. The glue was hard, cloudy cream in color, and wasn’t easy to remove, but I got it all off. The installers weren’t working with glue, so this appears to be a CHI quality control issue.The face of top panel of the double door, where it bends to form the bottom surface of the panel, has a few linear “scuffs” exposing the bare metal below. I observed the entire installation and the installers were extremely careful and did not scrape the panel during installation. The defects are not in an obvious location, but the bare metal will be susceptible to corrosion.I expressed my concern to Darian, who said he would replace the panel. Since the other 7 door panels are perfect, I am confident that the new panel will be perfect as well.The back side of the garage door panels is white, so the interior of my garage appears brighter when illuminated.I am beyond delighted with my new garage doors and with Spokane Overhead Door. Every single neighbor has called, texted, or stopped by to tell me how beautiful they look. I wish I had made this upgrade sooner!
