Mehr’s was the third quote I solicited to repair our Martin door. Some inconvenience to get three bids, but in the end was worth it because not only was there significant economic payback, but because I know who to call going forward. The first vendor wanted to replace the opener. The second vendor (name is at the top of the alphabet) wanted to replace the springs (claimed they were undersized and wound too tight for the door) and the reason it wouldn’t close. The custom springs the tech said needed to be ordered would take 3-4 weeks to manufacture. So I’ve got to live with the issue for another month? After finding a sticker on the side panel of the garage door, it showed that Mehr’s was the original installer 10 years ago so I called them (should have done that in the first place). I spoke to the owner, Spencer, and I told him what was going on. He immediately diagnosed the problem as the sensor. Sent Trent (great guy) out the very same day (they worked around my schedule). Trent was friendly, polite, and went out of his way to communicate what he was going to do. He tested the sensor at the motor which confirmed what Spencer diagnosed over the phone. Trent replaced the sensor and the door works perfectly. We then asked if he would replace the weather stripping at the bottom of the door, which he did the next day and reset the limit to accommodate the new weather stripping. I won’t go anywhere else…I don’t need to; I know who I can trust and who wants to build/keep relationships. Great job, Mehr’s. Thanks!
Spencer and Mehr’s Garage Doors are the absolute best. They’ve helped me out on many occasions with the fastest service and best quality. I’ve used them a couple times for my home and many times for my business. I can’t recommend anyone better. 5 stars
Best service. They go above and beyond. We have a new build and they didn’t just install and go they have come back and serviced it. They also took the time to help us program our remotes and car. Excellent service!
