I have had two different issues with my existing double wide garage door. It was installed by Palousek over 15 years ago. I called Palousek both times. Within 24 hours I had a technician come out and make the needed repairs. They were prompt and reasonably priced.
Had our garage door replaced by Palousek after tornado damage.. love the door. We had two estimates, and the other estimate was outrageous. When Palousek came for the estimate, the code box had recently stopped working after the house was power washed, we thought it was broken. I told the employee about it, and she looked into it and reset it, at no cost.Palousek had installed the garage opener for us years ago and we were satisfied with their promptness and had no issues with it. This past weekend, the garage opener stopped working, I called Palousek this morning and within a few minutes I received a call back that they were on their way. Thinking the worst, I had mentally prepared myself that the garage opener/motor might have to be replaced. The young man promptly arrived and took care of the problem … some technical issue that he quickly resolved. Thank you for the great service!
Outstanding work. We had to replace our garage doors due to the tornado. Palousek Overhead Doors were our contractor for this job and they did amazing work. Our doors are absolutely beautiful, well built and operate even better than before. The quality and details of our doors is far beyond any other doors in our neighborhood. As a long-time customer through my father’s business, Hap Ray Builders, and as an individual client since April 2017, I am deeply frustrated with my recent experience regarding a defective Wayne Dalton garage door panel at my home.In June 2023, I noticed a manufacturing defect in one of the panels. After months of follow-up, the owner, Kenna Palousek, inspected the issue and provided a temporary fix, assuring me that the panel would be replaced under warranty. However, despite my persistent calls over the past year, I was recently informed that the panel is no longer manufactured. The company now suggests replacing the entire door with a new model, potentially at my expense. This is unacceptable, especially given the expectation that a garage door should last far longer than six years.My attempts to resolve this have been met with delays, unreturned calls, and unclear communication, which is disheartening considering our extensive business history in the Temple, Waco, and Harker Heights areas. A company that sells premium products like Wayne Dalton doors should stand by their warranties and prioritize customer service, yet I feel dismissed and undervalued.I strongly urge you to:1. Honor the warranty by covering the cost of a replacement panel or door.2. Improve responsiveness to customer inquiries to prevent prolonged delays.3. Ensure clear communication about warranty processes and limitations.I caution others in the community to carefully consider this experience, as reflected in similar negative reviews. I have been trying for over 3 weeks to get my garage door fixed and they have been unable to let me know when they will be able to come. Since I was out of town for a week, I scheduled an appointment but when I returned and called them, they couldn't give me a time. Since I am 86 and my husband is 92, it was difficult to not be able to go out through garage door. I had used them for many years but their service has deteriorated so I will never call them again. The person taking their calls was not helpful and seemed to be annoyed because of my numerous calls. That is probably why they have a mediocre rating and another garage company in Temple has an outstanding record and responded to my request the same day. Look at the ratings before calling Palousek.
