They did some maintenance work and new motor installed (we have the motor). It took a guy less than 2 hours to do the job, however they charged for FOUR hours. My husband went to the office to sort it out, and they said the charged for the travel time of 40 minutes (our house is 5 minutes away) and one hour for filling the papers (which is less than one page stating that they double charge us)
Terrible communication and service trying to quote and setup a garage door replacement.Unfortunate since this company came highly recommended from other family, and even my employer!Called in October and spoke with a male regarding replacement of a single garage door (wanted a painted/insulated door). Info was taken, conversation was pleasant said they'd forward a quote within a few days.I waited 2 weeks, then called to followup. Was told "dont worry, we didnt forget about you, just waiting on pricing from our supplier"...Really? A large company like this needs over 2 weeks for pricing on a standard 9x7 insulated door/replacement.Anyways, still no followup. No quote.So we have gone with another company and couldn't be happier with the service/product/install(Check my reviews)Unfortunately I think the problem here is the job was just too small for Waterloo Garage Doors, and they're not interested. Fine, ok, then just be honest. I would respect that honesty more. Shame
The spring on my garage door broke, so I booked a non-urgent repair. I got an appointment in under a week, and the technician (Fred) was friendly and did a great job. I replaced the spring on two garage doors, and was pleasantly surprised when the invoice was less than originally quoted.
Disappointed in my experience recently for a service call. When booking was quoted a price to come out and look at the issue. The price changes when bill received. Was not quoted anything prior to work starting. I followed up and was told that customers are billed for the technician to drive to and from shop to my house. For a one hour repair using $6 in materials I was billed two hours of labour for $226+tax. The two hours of labour were not even while doing the repair but for driving to and from my house in Waterloo. Issue was brought forward to them but they stand by their pricing. My garage door broke again a week after this repair and I hired someone else in town that charges $19 to assess issue and then provided breakdown of work and cost ahead of doing the work. Will not recommend this company to anyone.
Great job! Installed much sooner than quoted. Service technicians were polite & professional. Glad we went with the owners suggestion to get the upgraded rubber on bottom (and thanks for the discount on that!). Also very happy to not have to pay any tariffs, just as Wendy promised!
