What a greedy and shitty builder who makes homes in durham region. After moving into their build home in 2015 decided to renovate few area in house and found few surprises in house which explains you quality of work they perform in their home view attach pictures. It will explain you all very well. See the tiles look like they run out of their material by 5 to 6 tiles in my kitchen area and look like they are run out of drywall pieces as well in my baseboard by inch only so they decided to nail it on wood as it is. Also viewer you can ask me in comments for video will explain you what kind cheap material they used to lay out their tiles in floor. Please people think about it before making any future deal with them. I would give negative zero start if had option.
Worst builder ever, I bought house from them in Ajax, all work is substandard, they did not fixed tons of issue before closing just wanted to give the house and grab money ASAP.Any time I complained about issue ,they avoided there responsibility and I had to fix the issue myself. I complained about warp door and I got reply that because I left door opened it got warped and not covered under warranty as it past 1 year. Never got any positive response from thier team.
Its not surprising that Coughlan won the award for the best builder in Durham.. I say that they should win the best builder in the entire GTA. It was such a fantastic and hassle-free experience to buy a house from Coughlan Homes during the pandemic. They made the entire process so simple, and were very responsive at every stage of the buying process. Their built quality and craftmanship is unmatched in the region, and their service is top notch!. I would highly recommend them, and would be at ease to go through the entire process of buying a house from them again. Thank you Coughlan Homes!
I purchased a new home in the Enclave project and moved in July 2022. My new home is beautiful and in spite of Covid and a construction strike I only had a minor delay on closing! The Coughlan team have been wonderful to deal with and incredibly responsive. I did not have any major concerns with my house and even minor deficiencies were dealt with quickly. If I ever had a concern of any kind I sent an email to Shannon and usually within the hour Barry was at my door to remedy the concern. The subcontractors and Coughlan team have been incredibly professional and the workmanship has been better than I anticipated. I would strongly recommend Coughlan as a builder. Thanks again for my great home !
We got our house closed this year (Mar 2023) in Enclave community.I want to mention that Coughlan is a great builder and in fact a hidden gem (doesn’t justify the underrating here). The quality of the construction, materials used are absolutely amazing. All of that came with decent and reasonable price compared to other large builders. Lot of upgrades were offered as standard. In fact my friends who visited house really appreciated the workmanship. I understand how COVID impacted builders like Coughlan, yet they strived hard to give us house delivered with only little delay (accommodated our concerns too).Starting from Lisa, then Shannon, Barry everyone was amazing, all were seasoned professionals. The PDI person took great amount time to explain every bit of detail. Sod-ing, Road work, Driveway work were all done within time frame and all were quick while not compromising on great quality. I would not hesitate to buy another house with Coughlan or refer to my friends and family. This builder cares!
