Customer feedback frequently notes friendly, attentive sales and design staff who answer questions without pressure. Many reviews mention clear pricing discussions and an enjoyable selections experience. Some recent comments raise concerns about communication gaps during certain construction phases, while others describe consistent updates and responsiveness. Overall ratings trend positive with appreciation for the studio experience and support during planning.

Updating now that my house is done. Communication during the construction process was minimal. I felt like I had no idea what was going on. There was a 6 week period during construction when I didn’t hear a single word from the builder. Work was always being done so I didn’t push. They came in $20,000 under budget which was great but did worry me a bit. Once it was done and it was ready to move in everything was so rushed and hectic. Our builder went on vacation the week it was done so we were handed off to someone else. Small things weren’t done like leaving the covers on the smoke detectors, sign was left in the yard, piles of tree branches, their lock box left outside. But not huge deals and we were happy to move in. Right away we discovered the fridge was not connected to the right kind of outlet and they put in a service request to the electrician. I spoke with him on the phone and he argued with me that it wasn’t the outlet and it was probably the fridge and I needed to get it replaced. I had to convince him to come out and change the outlet (not sure if that’s the right wording). He did and it is fine now. But was frustrating to feel like I had to push so hard. 2 months after moving in the sewer line backed up into the basement. It happened on a Saturday at 7pm. So we called the number for the plumber they had listed under the section of who to call in an emergency outside of business hours. They would eventually call me back 24 hours later. We had to call someone else to get the line jetted. They told us it was poor construction and even commented that they thought it was a Ryan home based on the way the plumbing looked. Which I take with a grain of salt. They referred a cleaning company that came that day since it was a sanitary issue and needed addressed immediately (they did outrageously over charge us). I spoke with Schumacher Monday morning and they assured me they would get someone out there. It took 7 weeks to get someone to fix it. That first week I was so panicked because no one was even calling to set up a time to come to the house. I expressed concern to Schumacher that if someone didn’t address it soon it would back up again. They reassured me that if it did happen again of course they would pay for the second cleaning and the first cleaning (spoiler, they would not). The person came that Friday to scope it and then I just didn’t hear anything. Over the next month and a half I would have to call and hound every person I could to get someone to take action. It felt like the focus was on not taking responsibility. Eventually they told me it was a problem with the county line and said they would be contacting the county to get it fixed. I finally called the county myself and the next week they got out there and fixed it. Schumacher wouldn’t pay for the cleaning. They are firm that they are not responsible since the problem was with the county line. The county has told us Schumacher should never have hooked up to this line. Of course I’ll never really know because I don’t know what to believe. But I do know that I’ve had a horrible month and a half worrying and hoping someone would fix this line. I do think that Schumacher is responsible for giving you a working sewage line in a brand new house but they disagree. And if it was really the county problem to start with, why did they not just immediately call and get someone out there. So much time wasted because they wanted to blame someone else. I have learned that if there is another issue (and I do think there will be) we are probably best to try to resolve it on our own instead of trying to follow the warranty book instructions they gave us. I will say that Leah and TJ were kind to us throughout the entire process. I just needed some action and empathy for the stressful situation we were living.

I called up Schumacher Homes a month ago and got Tom Craig. When I said he went above and beyond, that is an understatement. He was professional, courteous, and honest. I never thought once he was “just trying to sell me”. We ended up finding an unbelievable lot that was tied with a specific builder so we didn’t go with Schumacher, Tom made the experience a good time and would recommend him as your consultant.

The model homes at Schumacher are beautiful — well-designed, inviting, and really showcase the quality of what they build. What stood out even more to me, though, was the customer service. The sales representatives I spoke with were friendly, helpful, and genuinely cared about answering questions without being pushy.

Their pricing also comes across as fair and straightforward, which is refreshing compared to some of the other builders I’ve spoken with. While I’m still in the process of meeting with different builders, Schumacher has been top-notch so far when it comes to honesty and customer service. They really make you feel like a priority, and that goes a long way.

If you’re looking into building, I’d recommend putting Schumacher on your list — they’ve set the bar high.

Working with Schumacher to build our home was one of the best decisions my husband and I have made. Guy was our initial point of contact and was a great help getting us started. He made a wonderful first impression, along with Lorelei, who greeted us with such warmth every time we were there. She was also a joy to work with during our selections meeting, having shared helpful insights and feedback with us, making the process easy and enjoyable.
Molly was our sales consultant and was great to work with. She made our preconstruction meeting a breeze, along with Walt, who was also very helpful during the meeting. You could tell he was experienced and knowledgeable which put us even more at ease.
Our contractor, Mark, was amazing throughout the build process. He sent plenty of updates, answered any questions we had, and took genuine care in our home, ensuring we got into our new home in a timely manner. Lastly, Leah did an outstanding job helping us understand certain costing questions we had, and was quick yet thorough in her responses.
Overall, everyone was so kind and wonderful to work with, and excelled in their communication. My husband and I are very grateful to have had such professional and caring people working with us, and are thrilled with the end result! Our home is everything we hoped it would be and more. Highly recommend!

We are beyond thrilled with our Schumaker experience.

From our initial sales person Guy to Molly our coordinator to our selections with Laureli to the contractor forman Mark who was so genuine and caring that our house was perfect our experience was top notch.

Everyone at Schumaker responded quickly to each of the dozens of our emails, text and calls and held our hand every step of the way. We knew weekly what to expect and who was going to be on site.

I would urge anyone considering Schumacher to look at our home and ask yourself what other builder could build this in four months from start to finish?

Great experience, great staff and a truly professional general manager in Walt. A righteous person with integrity.

Thank you Schumaker for making our dreams come true and exceeding are expectations.
