We had a fantastic experience working with Wali and his team. From the initial consultation, to collaborating using the rendering design program and to seeing our project come to fruition, Wali's team was very communicative, professional and very easy to work with. The quality of work was fantastic. Our front patio, hardscape, walkway and rear patio have never looked better! We will definitely work with Home Vista for our next project!
I recently entrusted Home Vista with the project to renovate my backyard . The result exceeded my expectations. I appreciated the professionalism of the team and their speed of execution. The job was done very well and I appreciated the fact that they stayed within my budget. It was a great experience. It is therefore it s my pleasure to recommend them !! Thanks for the beautiful box ??
We cannot say enough about our wonderful experience with Home Vista! From our initial interaction with the sales staff, to design, to construction, everyone we worked with at Home Vista was outstanding! Their craftsmen are highly talented and exceeded our expectations. Thanks to the carpenters and masons at Home Vista, our deck and patio are exceptionally beautiful and uniquely “us;” not at all like the “cookie-cutter” offerings from most deck and patio companies! Communication was clear, product management was first rate, there were no hidden charges or sales gimmicks, and the project was completed on time and on budget. Who could ask for anything more? I highly recommend Home Vista.
The goods: collaborate design process and high tech drawings. They did a good job helping me meld the old hard scape with the new. They have a design center so you can feel and see their materials. The bad: horrible communication during the build and especially after issues have been identified. During the build we had to ask many many times for defects to be corrected from poor grading in a couple of areas (overall the grading was decent but in two or three areas including one under the deck near the foundation water pooled after many discussions that the number one concern is grading since we excavated about a foot- 18 inches to put in a patio under the deck). We’ve had consistent issues with the bullnose being poorly glued down and despite noting this during construction, and during the punch list, here I am filing warranty claims. They sent a worker twice after the warranty claim without checking with us on availability( I cannot count how many times I told the lead this is not acceptable during the build as we work and need to show the issues). The first workman he repaired the piece of bullnose only to leave it uneven with the rest and certainly going to come up again and behold… another piece has come u glued less than 10 days later. This is less than 8 months after the job was completed so it’s not like this is an old deck and it hasn’t gone through a full winter yet either to see how it does with expanding and contracting. Absolutely annoying. We also have an issue with the deck railings— the workers didn’t put enough stabilizers so they are warping (this after they didn’t give us the drink rail we requested which we decided to forgo since it would have required a lot of additional work to fix). During the build when they removed the original deck they left a big step down from the door to the new deck which we had to insist be remedied and the solution wasn’t properly nailed down leaving that stair very rickety. It was fixed after we pointed it out during the punch list bc it was a real safety hazard. The next biggest issue is the under deck water system for the “ceiling” we had added under the deck to make the patio water free during rainstorms. Water collects under the deck in small amounts rather than draining which will leave us susceptible to mold and mosquito issues. It’s been three weeks since we made the warranty claim. So far that process has not been smooth with lack of communication, no scheduling and random show ups of workers and no concrete punch list so we can ensure things get done correctly. A few other points: we had river rock added to the build of the hard scape. I had to ask twice for the scant amount provided to be supplemented (bald spots with black tarp were not infrequent. It was done but it feels like a lot of issues we had to address and are still having to address. I’ve been overseas for much of the build/ planning and seriously— it’s a beautiful deck and set of patios and pads BUT you better be prepared to stay on top of EVERYTHINg. Every. Last. Detail. Pics are from August 2023– 8 months after build
We had Home Vista design and install a large stone pathway and stone stairs up a steep hill in our back yard. They are fantastic to work with! From first contact to end of project they were fully engaged in the process. Never did we feel pressured, uncomfortable or confused about what and how the project would go.The project manager gave insightful suggestions and was patient with our questions and concerns. The crew was flexible, which I appreciate, because I asked for minor changes in shape, curve or placement of the rock and never did I feel like they were irritated for having to make a change. We live in a HOA and they knew the process of how hoa's usually work, had paperwork for us to send in for approval and were ready to answer questions. They were so thorough we didn't have any problem being approved. We didn't have to have a permit so I am unaware of that process.Home Vista was not the cheapest nor were they most expensive. We had several contractors bid for this job.Once we had all the approvals and the ordered material arrived, (there was a small delay because of severe weather for which no one had control over) the project went fast, about 5 days in all. I was concerned at first when just three guys showed up to work with 40+ stone slabs at 400lbs each. That concern was unfounded. These guys were amazing! Not once were they imposing to us, loud or rude. More workers showed up during the week and they were all the same.We absolutely will be having them come and do more for us in the future. This is another thing I appreciate with this company. They knew our budget, knew what our dream was, made the priority happen and set the rest for future work. All without making the yard look unfinished.P.S. Keep in mind the pics are in winter. I will add more pics in the spring when everything is more lush.
