Working with Santoro custom homes was our seventh (7) homeownership and our third (3) custom build. If we had to use one phrase that best described our experience with the Santoro team, it is follow-through. The quality workmanship, design all the way through to finished product and post warranty work has been the best of all 7 homes we've owned.Here's why Santoro custom homes is set apart, in our experience:1. This simplified the process, brain damage and outcome.DesignWhile free to use any designer, we chose a Santoro homes recommended designer. We saved $200K+ dollars as a result. The designer has base plans from which to start, materials, sizing, dimensions, delivery times and pricing already. We simply modified quite a bit from this starting point. In the end we got exactly what we wanted for a fraction of the time and cost, and all the design and materials were familiar to the build crews.Build ProcessSean, Colin and Brian walked us through the build process from the beginning, explaining their process, what to expect, timing and where we would contribute to decisions. This foreplaning helped tremendously. They even came with a spreadsheet template for the selection of all finish materials to make our life easier. In the entire build process for a 7K sq/ft home we only had one adjustment that was last minute. It was handled without issue.Final WalkthroughLike every build, on final walkthrough. we are picky and had several items we wanted touched up, adjusted or tweaked. We were astounded by the speed, accuracy and completeness in correcting them all. It's the first time in all 7 homes we can honestly say, we had zero open items or "things" that didn't work out as we had planned.Certificate of Occupancy (CO)We have had CO's take several weeks to complete. With Santoro it was done of a single morning and zero issues.WarrantyWhile Santoro didn't offer a specific warranty, they stand behind their work. They focus on getting it right. To that point a few months after move in, they came back and made a few more little tweaks to sticking cabinet door, missed paint touch up behind a door and a few other items. Going forward we've not had any problems with our home. It's our sanctuary.
