Arlington Designer Homes

When our next-door neighbors had their house demolished and a new modern house built in its place they used Arlington Designer Homes and Andrew Moore. During this time we met and had great interactions with Andrew on multiple occasions and also heard very positive things from our neighbors. When we soon decided to make a massive renovation to our house, we of course engaged Andrew Moore and Arlington Designer Homes and have had a very worthwhile experience. We had three main objectives: we wanted to update or fix a variety of things, we wanted various improvements we had dreamed about, and we wanted to include things for aging in place. We first met with Andrew in late 2021 and got started with all the planning during 2022. We had already drawn up specific plans and had very specific ideas about the organization and construction. Andrew was very accommodating and we spent a lot of time going back and forth with him and the architect and trade people until we came up with a very extensive and desirable plan. The plan for updating included an all-new interior layout that moved most walls, and with new plumbing, insulation, electricity, 6-zone HVAC, floors, windows, doors and more and also an all-new exterior. The new “dreams” included a large addition out the back of the house, digging out the crawlspace to create a new lower level, and adding a new partial third level with a large deck. The plan for aging included leveling all the floors, low thresholds, larger doors, and a 4-story elevator. We moved out in 2023 during the renovation and moved back into our new, wonderful house in early 2024. We are very pleased with how it all turned out and we particularly were pleased with all of our interactions with Andrew (and also later, Janae Davne). Andrew and Janae have been very easy to communicate with and have been very responsive to all of our inquiries. Andrew was also effective in dealing with Arlington County on the many building and environmental requirements. We have also been pleased with how they have addressed all of our concerns (few and small) since we have moved back in. John and Susan H.

We recently used Andy and his team at Arlington Designer Homes for a complete basement renovation and they were absolutely fantastic to work with (again!) We used them in the past for other projects as well! Andy is always upfront with costs and his team was professional and clean and they completely changed the space perfectly to our design! Highly recommend and excited to use the basement gym, bar, ping pong area, and TV room for MANY years to come!

Arlington Designer Homes remodeled our single family home in Arlington, Va. We added a third story with multiple bathrooms, and a new kitchen. We had an excellent experience working with Andy and his team. The work was done professionally and on time, minimizing the time we had to spend in a rental home. Arlington Designer Homes took down our old home and built us a new home. Andy was professional and very responsive. This was a massive effort that we could not have done on our own. Andy identified the best architect who designed a house in the Modern Prairie style. Andy and walked us through the process. We had customized plans for lighting, speakers, and ethernet cabling that Andy was able to accommodate. We were able to work through any snags that arose. The house was Energy Star and Arlington Green Home certified. We highly recommend Arlington Designer Homes.

Andrew was fantastic to work with, professional, knowledgeable and all with a good sense of humor. Arlington Designer Homes helped us navigate the process of tearing down the existing home and building a new property from scratch. They coordinated architects, county planning approval and the attention to detail was very impressive. When overwhelmed with design decisions Andrew was good enough to narrow the choices down considerably making this a very pleasant experience. We will definitely by using Arlington Designer Homes again!
