Throughout the initial consultation and design selection process, we’ve had an excellent experience so far. The entire team has been professional, organized, and made every step easy to understand. Cannon has been especially helpful — patient, knowledgeable, and great at guiding us through choices and explaining all the options clearly. It’s refreshing to work with someone who really listens and genuinely cares about helping us get the details right.We’re excited to see the build move forward and will update this review once our home is complete, but based on the experience so far, America’s Home Place has earned a solid five stars!
We built a home with AHP this past year and had nothing but a wonderful experience! We even had some delays from the hurricane at the start of the build but no where near as long as we anticipated. The process was so simple and fun, which you don’t always hear about a home building experience. The property and home turned out better than we even dreamed of! If you’re looking to build a home stress-free and reasonably priced, build with them!
Working with Americas Home Place has been a true pleasure. Angelina started us out and was very patient and knowledgeable while we made our design decisions. She made us feel at ease and never pressured us. You’re right Angelina, it turned out amazing. We can’t thank James Dalton enough. He was timely, attentive and personable. The building process was so smooth and when we had a hiccup(not anything to do with AHP) James was completely proactive and resolved the issue quickly. He and Kayla were forthcoming with information and timelines and simply couldn’t have been nicer. I would highly recommend this company.
Edited to add build experience too..Our experience throughout the decision/design process has been awesome with Cindy. She is always accommodating and doesn't complain about how many things we want to discuss. We have been considering building for 2.5 years with a number of emails, visits, and quotes and she has always been patient. Every other person we have had small interactions with has also been great. They really do have this process dialed in and have some good customization options.This is the second home we have built (the first being different contractor). The building process was easy and required little interaction from us. There were a couple small scheduling conflicts that pushed us a couple weeks past our desired finish date, which were no surprise. George was great for project management. He pushed the subcontractors to get things done correct and on time. The rest of the team was great too. All the subcontractors were friendly and flexible. There were a lot of nice little additions such as recessed dryer vent, recessed fridge water line, ethernet and coax run to the outside from the data hub which included enough ethernet lines for all the rooms, locks on the attic doors, smart garage door.We were able to customize plenty, we changed a loft area into an office, moved a door to adjust a bathroom, added outlets and porch fans, some exterior lights.The one negative part was the well was drilled really late in the process which caused some stress, especially with not finding water until quite deep and the house being nearly finished. It was also done after final grade and the well drillers did good filling the yard back in but the location of the well has standing water and the driveway has sagged a pretty good amount. This is minor in the scheme of things and settling dirt is expected.It feels overwhelming picking colors and the customization, but they made the process as straight forward as can be. We are very satisfied, especially with the price being comparable to buying currently.
