Buchanan Construction

I’ve had the opportunity to see Buchanan Construction’s work and interact with their team over the years, and their level of craftsmanship and attention to detail is truly impressive. They have a strong reputation in the Asheville area for building high-quality homes and delivering a great client experience. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a custom home builder.

As the Founder and Developer of The Village of Cheshire, it has been a pleasure working with Buchanan Construction over the past several years. Together, we have successfully completed more than 20 homes, and I’ve appreciated Rick Buchanan and his team’s professionalism, craftsmanship, and collaborative approach throughout the process. We are now excited to begin Phase I of the Town Center Buildout, which Buchanan Construction’s commercial division will be leading through a design-build process. Their experience, communication, and commitment to quality have made them a valued construction partner as Cheshire continues to grow and evolve. I look forward to the next chapter of working together and highly recommend Buchanan Construction for both residential and commercial projects.

Buchanan Construction completed construction of our amazing new home last fall. My wife and I continue to be extremely thrilled with result. In sum, they are an outstanding organization and we feel the best residential builder in Western North Carolina. Our vision was implemented to perfection and was enhanced by Buchanan’s creative skill set that resulted in an incredible new home. We highly recommend anyone considering residential construction connect and select Buchanan Construction as their builder.

We are in the middle of our construction and we wanted to share our amazing experience with Buchanan construction so far! Lots of reviews focus on the finished product (all beautiful) but we thought it was important to sing their praises in the middle of the project because process is as important (if not more so) than outcomes. Our positive experiences began when Rick and Jessica identified the perfect site that met our needs. We have been working with a talented team with special shout outs to Kelsey, Roger and Mario! The respectful and neat manner in which they complete the work and treat our property is just as impressive as the quality of the work itself. They have exceeded our expectations and we are so excited to see the final product. We cannot recommend the team at Buchanan enough and are grateful to be working with them.

C3 Studio has had the pleasure of working with Buchanan Construction for several years now and across multiple design projects. Every experience has been nothing short of excellent. One standout project was designing The Bear Flower Retreat with Rick and Jessica — truly amazing clients paired with an equally amazing building team. The entire process was smooth, collaborative, and genuinely enjoyable. What really sets Buchanan apart is their team approach. They guide clients thoughtfully through every stage of the design and build process, making what can be a complex (and stressful) experience feel organized and exciting. It’s rare to work with a builder who values collaboration and craftsmanship as much as they do. We’re always grateful for the opportunity to work alongside the Buchanan team and look forward to many more projects together.
