Hired Jason and his company to build a casita in our backyard to give my niece and my sister their own living space in our house in Leander. They did a great job, very happy with the end results. Great communications and they always followed up with the very few remaining issues after the build was completed. 100% recommend them for your small house building needs.
We had the pleasure of working with Jason and his crew on the designs of a second house on an investment property. When we reached out initially, Jason was quick to show us his other work and provide us with excellent referrals. He is very upfront and extremely knowledgeable. Whenever we needed something or didn't understand a part of the process, he was quick to respond. He walked us through the complications of our specific lot and came up with a design and aesthetic we were really happy with. He also provided some great renderings so we knew what we'd be getting (see pics). The details he provided were thorough and well beyond what we expected. The build price for all that Small House Solutions proposed was fair and much more affordable than other design/build companies we interviewed. We ultimately decided to sell the property instead of building, but we will be referring Small House Solutions to all of our friends in the area. Thanks Jason!
We worked with Jason and the Small House team from end-to-end to build an accessory living space (Guest House) in our backyard. We started with the design team -- designing exactly what we wanted. We designed a living space, kitchenette, office nook, guest bedroom, and bathroom. We added a workshop/storage area on the side too. Total of 870 sq. ft.Jason came on-site and was very knowledgeable. He walked us through all the considerations and challenges of building in a tight lot within Austin city limits. They delivered a custom design with all the appropriate engineering and site documentation to allow for permit approval in Austin.We then contracted Small House to build the structure. They were a one-stop shop. They handled everything from the permit approval and city inspections to managing the entire build, start to finish.Project managers were great. High-quality work, and the build was faster than expected. Little elements here and there were handled so easily. The team was so responsive and just overall great partners.If you are looking to add more living space to your property,Highly recommend!
