We recently built a custom home on our lot from scratch. We had perhaps the most challenging lot on a rocky cliff but with a gorgeous view which we envisioned building our dream home around. While we had the most talented Architectural team in town @Align Austin Architects (formerly Cornerstone), it took us 2+ years to find a builder who could build, meet our budget, align with our vision, and most importantly, has the integrity to deliver a high-quality project. After discussions with over eight Austin area builders, we narrowed it down to Southerly Homes through simply word of mouth and some research. With great leaders like Nick and Josh, Southerly has been somewhat of a new kid in town – a hidden gem. Their leaders are well reputed with many years’ experience in home-building with well-established brands. It was fun to watch their ability to execute like a startup, and genuine appetite to think and build big. They’ve put the best Project execution talents in town. Both Bryce and Amber have been our rockstars – proactive and super responsive and they always had our priority first. A complex project which is often referred to as “an engineering marvel” by our friends and neighbors, is expected to have daily papercuts and often tricky problems. Southerly’s level-headed approach to problem solving and teaming up with us have been the hallmark of progress through all challenges. Not only Southerly delivered our dream, but we also had tons of valuable learning in the process. We’ll not hesitate to recommend Southerly to any and all new customers wanting to realize their custom home dream, regardless of the size and scope of the project. We are betting on Nick, Josh and the team to shine at the top of the chart.
