Customer feedback is mixed. Positive notes often mention courteous site managers, helpful communication on the job site, and attention to neighbor concerns. Critical reviews cite quality control issues post-close, interior finish problems, and frustration with warranty responses. Several comments discuss coordination and experience levels of project staff as an area for improvement.
Nick Wiltz, site manage for MN, is definitely an asset for this company. We live next door to the new hose construction by MN and his whole positive attitude demeanor and great attention to detail was evident in so many ways. His kind attention to our inquiries, his interface with the many subs coming and going reassured us that he was at the job site to facilitate and serve. We always looked forward to seeing him at the job site and wish him well during and after his ankle surgery. If he worked for me I’d hang onto him for as long as your company exists.Sincerely,Jay and Barb Spaulding
Echoing recent posts on here: Beautiful home, horrible construction and work by contractors. We purchased a new-construction MN home about 3 years ago. Within months, so many issues kept popping up: hundreds of nail pops, floor creaks, fridge installed crooked so door does not close properly, towel racks falling off the walls, toilet paper holders loosened and now angled so toilet paper falls off, and every room with carpet has carpet now bunched up in the middle of the room. I was obviously annoyed with these cosmetic issues (some nail pops were fixed with the 1 year warranty); however, this week our kitchen sink started to sag from the surrounding framework and it became clear that there are structural issues with this house due to poor quality work. We had a plumber come look today, he had never in his long career seen this issue in a new-construction house. The brace holding the sink is coming out of the wood support and the silicone glue has deteriorated at an exponential rate. Obviously this will be a very expensive fix. I'm now waiting for the next thing in the house to inevitably fall apart. Not what I expected for a multimillion dollar home, I am very disappointed. Buyer beware..
I am extremely disappointed with the quality and warranty handling for a $3.5M home by MN.Shortly after moving in, I discovered that my kitchen cabinet doors have zero tolerance to normal kitchen use. Brief contact with cooking oil or colored liquids (wine, coke), even when wiped off immediately, leaves permanent stains. This is normal, everyday kitchen behavior, not misuse.I raised this issue with MN early on and was initially told it was due to improper maintenance, without any investigation or evidence of misuse. Only after I provided a video clearly showing oil briefly touching the cabinet surface and immediately leaving a permanent mark did MN acknowledge that this should not be happening. The cabinet doors were then removed and sent back for manufacturer repair, and I lived almost four months without cabinet doors in my kitchen. When the doors were finally reinstalled, the issues were not resolved:• The cabinet doors vary noticeably in color, even when directly adjacent• The original staining issue still exists• Worse, water alone now leaves visible and permanent marksWhen I raised these concerns again, MN reversed its position and stated that this behavior is “expected” for cabinet finish, that oil staining is considered a use and maintenance issue, and I was instructed to stop placing water on the cabinet surfaces.Being told not to get water or oil on kitchen cabinets in a brand-new home is unreasonable. Expecting kitchen cabinets to avoid incidental water or oil exposure during normal cooking is not realistic. Kitchens must withstand normal cooking conditions. After months of disruption and a failed repair, redefining normal use as misuse instead of standing behind the product is deeply disappointing. This experience raises serious concerns about material selection, quality control, and accountability at the builder level.Prospective buyers should carefully consider this experience when evaluating MN’s build quality and warranty support.
Some of the 5 star reviews are not by homeowners so be aware of these reviews to just improve the ratings.Beautiful home, terrible quality, Project Managers are new and have no clue how to manger the project due to lack of experience/ training, they don’t have a “quality team” to ensure quality, Shauna from warranty team has been very helpful to get some issues resolved quickly. We moved into our new MN Custom home last week after closing on 12/12/25 and within first day of the move there was a bathroom door that fell off along with a separate cabinet door falling off, cabinet drawers not aligned. Additionally the stairs have started to show gaps in less than a week and nose of stairs is started to wobble which is a trip hazard. There was a long list of items for final walkthrough they highlighted were closed but they were either not done at all or a terrible job was done to get the house closed and some of them are starting to already show wear. The breakers kept tripping for almost entire kitchen and they had to send their electrician multiple times and responded with bad breakers from the manufacturer. The smart lights in the house have gotten stuck numerous times and they are not able to figure out the root cause to fix it other than resetting the breakers. The wooden flooring is starting to bounce.Great product from the outside but terrible quality and workmanship for a custom home.m and the price point. DRHorton and Ryan quality is better than theirs. If you are already under contract, ensure you don’t close till they close out all your items satisfactorily. Seeing the issues in this house in the first few days highlights to me they do not care about quality or customer satisfaction/ retention and are just after making a quick profit with the terrible quality. AVOID AT ALL COSTS if you want peace of mind and a quality product and not waste your hard earned money and time. They have been sending contractors almost everyday since our close but their roofers and electrician have no clue about some of the issues as the issues still exist. Their reps lied to us to get the closing without fixing the issues satisfactorily and only way we found out was the roofing contractor showing up at our house to fix the roof/ gutters which they MN reps confirmed were resolved in writing. I have asked to talk their owners who signed the contract of the house as sellers but all those requests have been ignored and they keep sending other people who don’t have much authority and probably are just working to make year end numbers. A lot of excuses for the issues and lack of quality have been we have been very busy and a lot of closings in December.AVOID AT ALL COSTS and go find a a different quality builder.
