Ashlar Homes has been so amazing during this whole process of buying a home. They have made our first home special and exciting. Todd, our project manager, continues to impress by helping out with any problem or question we may have. Jeremy was helpful and very knowledgeable about the home. I would recommend buying a home from them.
?????????? Exceptional Experience with Ashler Homes & Jennifer Messner! From start to finish, our experience with Ashler Homes has been nothing short of outstanding! As a real estate professional, I’ve worked with many builders, but none compare to the professionalism, quality, and value offered here. The craftsmanship and attention to detail in their homes are truly impressive—every finish is thoughtfully designed, and the quality speaks for itself. Our clients couldn’t be happier with their new home, and it’s easy to see why Ashler Homes is by far the best in their price range. The value they provide is unmatched!A huge shoutout to Jennifer Messner, who went above and beyond to ensure a smooth and seamless process. Her communication was top-notch—always prompt, transparent, and proactive in addressing any questions or concerns. She made sure our clients felt confident and informed every step of the way, making this one of the best new build transactions we’ve ever had.If you’re considering building a home, Ashler Homes is the way to go—incredible quality, fair pricing, and a team that truly cares. We highly recommend them and can’t wait to work together again in the future!
I have worked with Ashlar and their agent on two projects so far and we’ve had a great experience. They are always responsive, friendly and professional. Hope Russell is wonderful and the builders and project managers are great. They even did last minute work themselves to ease my client’s minds before our closing. These homes are an amazing value and the employees make it even better. Would highly recommend.
Build 6 months late with last minute price escalation, soiled stair carpet deep into pad which worsens with each cleaning as it pulls clay soil up from the pad when you aren’t surface cleaning as Ashlar did after weeks of letting it set in and allowing the damage in the first place as carpet shield sat unused in garage, per Dana of Ashlar at closing regarding carpet damage to “Discoloration is not a covered item.”Bait/switch on plan/brochure shown to buyers versus what willow plan filed with city in order to switch footage from costly areas like master closet and vanity to basically empty front bedroom and closet where there’s less cost, very poor tile work…374K apparently isn’t enough to buy a new blades for the job, builder had year to order siding and didn’t until close to closing so had us switch color then installed original without communicating weeks later, said exterior stone not available and had to pick new but funny they were able to find some after confirming with manufacturer no order had been placed, got different and sub-par composite decking than selected installing handrail crooked (corrected later), Shawn Woods called me a liar when I told him information conveyed to us and told my husband on same call he doesn’t need to have in person meeting with clients and hadn’t had one in 5 years, after supplying the email documentation he then moved to gaslighting and threats of pulling contract. Lack of information, high employee turnover, misinformation common place. No available options possible for buyers to look at other than the package they offer (we would have added a garbage disposal button, expanded foundation at kitchen, & vented through cabinet had we known these were available)…your just left to guess and ask what you think of. Other issues we had or still currently have: cracked tile installed, boards supporting deck instead of seated in brackets overnailed because they did that job improperly, damage to master vanity just color matched patch as fix, vibrating from window when wind blows, movement of items on island with normal use in area due to thin underlayment and engineered I-joists instead of more expensive and quality materials, stinky hot water from lines due to red plastic lines used per city instead of more expensive quality copper lines (City says will go away in approximately a 12-18 months), construction trash with erosion behind lot that’s not properly graded, sales said bike trail within a block of us but has never been installed and since they sprayed seed in that area they have no intention of fulfilling that, which is part of what attracted us to the neighborhood. We could not trust what came from this company. I would recommend avoiding them. We love our lot, our location, our neighbors, and most of our home. I would never build with Ashlar, there are much better builders in the area. Pictures will be added in comments to support the review above in the coming days.
I have worked with the Ashlar Homes team on many occasions from a real estate perspective and have always found them to be great to work with! Their homes are top-quality through and through, and in a great price point. They are so passionate about customer service and exceeding expectations. I definitely recommend building with Ashlar Homes!!
