My husband and I have been looking at model homes for years. From the moment I walked into the model built by Rob Washam Homes, I was impressed with the quality of workmanship and their eye for detail. While building, we worked closely with their director of sales, Lindsey C. To say that she went above and beyond to make our vision come true is an understatement. She was always gracious with our questions/changes and I appreciated her honest feedback and valuable advice. The home Rob Washam Homes built for us is truly beautiful. We have now lived here for one year and couldn't be happier!
UPDATE (almost 2 years later): We have had zero issues with our home and couldn't possibly be happier with the product we received from Rob Washam Homes. They came back for 2 additional warranty walkthroughs and quickly addressed everything. I can't recommend this builder enough. We went through the entire build process with Rob Washam Homes, and we had a really good experience. The build quality is exceptional (I'm very picky) and the price for what you get is a great value.Everyone was knowledgable, professional, and friendly – and Washam uses exceptional vendors which allowed us to build exactly what we wanted. Special thanks to Chris and Lindsay for all of their help along the way. I highly recommend this builder – they stand by their work.
We can't say enough good things about Rob Washam Homes. Their homes are exquisite. They are very professional and responsive. Even after closing, they still keep on top of issues that needed attention. Their homes are well constructed and beautifully designed. Would use them again in the future. Thanks Rob, Lindsay, Mark and the rest of your team for building our dream home!
I asked Rob Washam to build a custom home for me on acreage that I had purchased. He met with my husband and I and went over every detail to make sure we had a clear understanding of the process and to make sure he understood exactly what we wanted in our new home. He met every expectation! Rob’s crews were always accommodating especially when I wanted something changed and the house was completed ahead of schedule. The quality of work was top notch! I have recommended Rob Washam homes many times and if I decide to ever build again, he will be my only call! Very happy with this builder!
Buyer beware! I purchased a home from Washam that had an exposed gas line at the time of me taking possession. I brought this issue to the attention of the builder and developer (Rodrock) weeks before closing and was ignored and told everything was correct. After coming back to the issue several times with more denials and defiance from the builder and developer, I called (not the builder) and got Atmos to come and look at the meter. Low and behold the gas line was indeed exposed and the install of the service line had been compromised by the builder removing several feet of dirt from the grading. If I had not already taken possession Atmos would have shut off the gas to the house for safety reasons. I can't stress this enough, I was sold a house and given possession of a house with an exposed gas line. The removal of the dirt also exposed foundation tar about 3 feet up the wall for essentially the entire length of the house. The builder's "fix" for this?... Paint over the tar (photos attached) Almost half a million dollars and this is what you get. On the day of possession the house was not ready, had not been cleaned, and our movers had to shove everything into the garage. We then had to pay additional movers to then transfer the stuff into the house later. There is a downspout that dumps onto the driveway that I asked to have re-routed, nope, can't be done according to builder...I found a solution for $10 at Home Depot. My irrigation was to be a self-draining system (you can easily winterize the system yourself), but the builder switched contractors and I'm left with a non-self-draining system with some sprinkler heads that are not installed flush with the concrete in places and not flush with the property line. 60% of my landscaping is not irrigated as no sprinkler heads were installed in a large section. "You get what you pay for", or not as the case may be.To respond to the builder re: rebuttal of my initial review. The gas company installed the meter at the appropriate depth BEFORE dirt was removed by the builder to meet grade spec at the property line. So any "proof" of approval of gas line install would be BEFORE you removed several feet of dirt. At that point, THE BUILDER had exposed the gas line and compromised the previously installed gas line. The BUILDER DID NOT have the gas line reevaluated until I, the buyer, had expressed concern about it and was ignored, after which I went directly to the gas company and they evaluated it as being severely compromised by the removal of the dirt AFTER their initial install. Under no circumstances would the gas co approve an exposed line that is only 7 inches under ground. We showed up at 12:00 pm to move into the house. Last I checked that is the afternoon. We had a walk thru with the builder scheduled at 12:30. So, WE WERE SCHEDULED TO BE AT THE HOUSE NO LATER THAN 12:30 pm! Yet you're coming on here and lying about us taking possession "early"?? This is peak Washam Homes, take no responsibility, lie, deflect, stonewall... The house had not been touched by a cleaner for an afternoon move in as of 12:00 pm. How could we do a walk thru at 12:30 in a dirty house? The builder dropped the ball, period. And much like their response here, took no responsibility whatsoever.Regarding the "Quick close": If the close was too soon, don't sign the contract. If you don't want to do upgrades and have your buyer give you more money for them, don't sign the contract. It's important to note that after the contract was signed, NOTHING got done on that house for about 13 days. Yes, flooring was back ordered, but the house literally sat for 2 weeks and none of the other items got done either. You would get less run around from a used car salesman in a cheap suit than with this group.
