We've built a number of home across the country and our experience with John and his team was our best experience yet; from the beginning of construction to handing over the keys. We were unexpectedly faced with having to build a new home after losing ours in the Marshall Fire. We only considered Sopris Homes for our rebuild and couldn’t be happier with this decision, and with our new home. Although the circumstances were challenging, the Sopris team was helpful and professional throughout the process. The vendors that we were sent to (e.g. tile, cabinets, flooring, lighting) were all exceptionally professional and easy to work with and they coordinated with Sopris seamlessly. The quality of craftmanship and attention to detail was exceptional. The few minor issues that we have had since moving in 6 months ago have been addressed promptly. Many thanks to the whole Sopris team for guiding us through this process and building a new home that we absolutely love.

After the Marshall Fire, there was no doubt whom we wanted to rebuild our house. Sopris had built the house across the street, and it was the only one on the street which survived the fire. From design through construction to completion, we were very happy with John's whole team, their subcontractors and vendors, and their overall commitment to quality. All the work was performed professionally and efficiently, with no down time waiting for supplies, and with much attention to detail. And long after we moved in, Sopris was available to take care of minor repairs and issues. We highly recommend Sopris to anyone planning to build a new house.

We had always planned to move back to my home state of Colorado from Ohio. When it came time to do so, we looked at pre-existing homes and new home builders often with disappointment. We eventually found Sopris and met with owner John Stevens. It didn't take us long to decide on Sopris.

We were a bit nervous about building here from several states away. Those concerns were unfounded. We decided on one of Sopris' existing floor plans but modified it significantly with John's help. Our home was finished on budget and on schedule.

Craig T and Kurt C, two of John's employees were closely involved with our build every step of the way. They kept us informed, and on those rare occasions where issues did arise, they were quick to address them, in many cases beyond our expectations.

Building a custom home can be a stressful experience, but it doesn't need to be. Sopris made it fun and easy.

What a truly remarkable experience it has been building a custom home with the Sopris team. When my wife and I started this adventure there were only two of us. Midway through the build we became three. And it changed our outlook on this project. It's not just a house. It's a home for our new and growing family, filled with many memories for years to come.

The entire Sopris staff was professional, friendly, considerate, patient and honest. The level of detail and craftsmanship is exceptional throughout the home. And I can't even imagine all the parts and pieces that had to come together to make it happen. (They tried so hard to get us in before our baby daughter's first Christmas and they somehow pulled it off).
