From start to finish, it was a pretty fast process. Bree the sales agent was extremely helpful and kind. The builder seemed to have an excuse for a lot of things. I had to do a lot of cleaning after move in, due to paint and glue on the floors in multiple places. Things like landscaping were not done when promised they would be. Closing got pushed back twice, which with a new build isn’t too bad. Closed at 430pm on a Thursday, power and was shut off at noon Tuesday and water the next morning. Even though I was told I had three business days to get everything switched over. I had to leave work to rush home to figure out the electric situation. The water was a process/application so it wasn’t instant to have on. Went a whole day without water. You would think after paying over 300k for a home and closing on a Thursday evening they could make sure you got your utilities switched over. Tried to check on the filter, which the “builder” himself promised he would change out. It was so full of dust and debris it covered me completely and fell to the floor filling the rooms hall and walls with dust. As a single mother of two children, my overall experience in buying my first home with DR Horton was subpar. Spend a little extra and go with another builder.

Best home buying experience ever! From the start, Angela and Lisa showed us homes, gave us info, and let us choose where we wanted to be in the neighborhood. They kept us updated on the construction progress. We met Hugh, our builder, while checking on our house one time. He took the time to answer all our questions. All three employees walked us through the construction and closing process. After we closed on our home, Hugh, Angela, and Lisa still helped us with any questions or help that we asked for. This has been an amazing journey for us and we are so happy with our home! It is the same floorplan as the model, so it’s been helpful to figure out how we wanted to arrange our furniture! Our kids enjoy sitting at the kitchen island while I’m making dinner. We often find ourselves eating at the kitchen island instead of the dinner table. We can’t wait to host our family’s Thanksgiving dinner this year with all the space we now have!
