We first hired Slotegraaf in 2012 for a major renovation of our 160 year old stone farmhouse, including removing 2 old additions, adding a new one, and a complete gut of the main floor. A couple of years later we had them return to renovate the upstairs, and later, put on a new metal roof which included fixing 2 old stone chimneys. In 2024 we bought a 20 year old bungalow and had them completely gut the house and start over inside, and add covered front and back decks.

Working with Slotegraaf was a consistently exceptional experience across all 4 projects. From the first consultation to the final walkthrough, their communication was always clear, professional, and effective. We never had to wonder about the project status; we were provided with regular updates as to what had been completed, and what to expect in the coming weeks. They were always available to answer questions which made the entire process stress free.

Slotegraaf is an expert at project management. Every one of our renovations was completed not just "on time" but exactly when promised. The quality of their work speaks for itself. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a builder that is reliable and excels at craftsmanship.

We were very happy to work with Slotegraaf Built on our recent project to renovate our main bathroom. We connected with Dan Merkus to plan the project. He was very efficient, made sure that he fully understood our requirements , the scope of the project, our preferences and put a plan in place to deliver on that.

We were very impressed how quickly the project proceeded. The tradespeople were in place quickly, products were ordered on time and work was completed on time and on budget.

Special kudos to Ethan. He made sure that the on site work was done on schedule and the craftmanship and attention to detail was very impressive. He was very kind and caring and we appreciated his daily dedication working early in the morning and long hours every day.

We love our new bathroom and our friends and neighbours have complimented us on great work done by Slotegraaf Built. This is our second project with Slotegraaf Built and if we ever look to do any more renovations we will certainly work with them again. We regularly recommend them to many of our friends.

.We contracted with Slotegraaf to completely gut and renovate three bathrooms in our 120 year old red brick house in Guelph. It was the first renovation we have ever done, so we were nervous and put a lot of trust in Slotegraaf to deliver what we wanted.

To say our trust was well-placed would be an understatement: From the time we received the quote to the time the project was completed, we knew we were in very capable hands. These guys definitely know how to manage a project, as we knew exactly what the finished project would look like (thanks to the renderings provided by their design team), how much the total project would cost, when each step would be completed (and by whom), and when the project would be finished. Absolutely none of our friends or family, based on their own experience with renovations done by other contractors, believed it would take the eight weeks estimated. However, Slotegraaf got the project done, on budget, and on schedule. And this is despite us adding stuff onto the project during the course of the reno, as well as the guys finding more than a few surprises behind the walls of our ancient house.

We lived in the house (and in fact worked from home) throughout the renovation, and we really appreciated how accommodating and personable everyone was. Brad, Christine, Flo and Ethan were all amazing, responsive, and super professional. Our four year-old daughter loved saying "hi" to Ethan and Flo every morning.

Slotegraaf definitely isn't the cheapest option out there--a fact that they're honest about upfront (as we were told this during our initial call with their sales team). However, when you're entrusting your house to people who are going to tear it apart and put it back together, we were more than willing to pay a premium for peace of mind knowing that we were getting the best of the best.

Without a doubt, we would highly recommend Slotegraaf and will definitely use them again.

As a local designer, I work with a lot of builders and contractors, and I have to say that Slotegraaf is among the best! I've worked with them on multiple projects and they are always extremely professional, highly-qualified, and provide great quality work. My designs can be complicated and unique to build, but they always put the time into understanding the design and take the details seriously.

Their project management is also something that sets them apart, everything is well coordinated so nothing gets overlooked. They also handle tough time constraints and always do their best to get things done just the way the homeowner wants it!
