Jackson Construction was the perfect fit and partnership to build our forever home in Charleston, SC. This was our first time building a home and from the first meetings and planning stages, the owner Ryan Jackson was personable and professional; walking us through the proper steps to building a house from the ground up. They simply have the experience and expertise to build a home in the Lowcountry. This was truly a custom home build. What really impressed me as I reflect back on the experience is that Jackson has the ability to draft changes to home plans giving us the ability to have the home of our dreams. We highly recommend the company.

Ryan built our dream home on Wadmalaw Island and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out. The quality of work really stands out the most. From foundation and framing to finish work, there is great attention to detail. He was also very helpful for us making decisions during the process by explaining how different aspects would turn out. One great example is our fire place. We had plans for a gas fire place inside with a framed out "faux chimney" on the exterior. While we were building, he realized that the framed out faux chimney had enough room to place a wood burning insert on the outside which is on our porch. So, we now have a gas fireplace inside with the wood burning fireplace on our screened in porch. It truly is a talking piece of the house! Really a fantastic builder and great guy! 100% recommend.

Our situation is definitely not the normal construction job. We had originally hired a different contractor to do a large addition to our home. Unfortunately for us this previous contractor was a scam artist and did so much damage to our home that it took Jackson construction at least 6 months just to fix all of the mistakes the previous contractor did. (And there were so many mistakes). Throughout the job, Ryan the owner of the company was extremely honest and more than fair. I actually felt bad because every time he tried to get something finished we would find another screw up that the first contractor did and we would need to find a way to fix it to be able to pass inspections. Because our situation was so bad it took Ryan much more time than he definitely anticipated but he never complained or tried to take advantage of our situation. I would absolutely choose Jackson Construction for any home improvement job and can definitely say Ryan the owner is honest and trustworthy. In the end our home turned out beautiful.
