Jim and I had the good fortune and privilege to find John Kerber and Dominion Custom Homes and worked with him to construct our new home.He was very easy to work with and was very willing to look at different building lots to see how the house we were thinking of building work fit.We were living in Northern Virginia at the time and once we got going, John was very willing to see us on the weekends to go over our plans. One of the things he wanted to be sure of including was building an ADA compliant home. We wanted a home with everything we would need to be on one floor. We did not consider needing wider doorways, no stairs to get into the front door, or a roll in shower with a seat and grab bars. John made sure we had all those things included as this was to be our retirement home.We have been in our marvelous home for 7 years and every day continue to be amazed at how beautifully built it is. Jim broke his foot recently and we were extremely grateful that he was able to get around on a scooter and then a walker without the added difficulty of stairs, and narrow doorways. Having the roll in shower and bench was a great help.John was more than attentive to each detail of our building process. His kindness and patience along with his excellent building experience made the whole process of picking out a lot and building a custom home very pleasant and easy.
