Months after completion, we are still extremely satisfied with the work and quality of Dicicco Builders. We had them build an addition on our second floor to create a master suite. They stuck to our budget while remaining flexible on some mid project design changes. The entire process was smooth and professional. We highly recommend Larry Dicicco.

We used Larry to reconstruct our kitchen and update the rest of the downstairs. Opened a wall between the kitchen and dining room, patio doors etc. He has a keen eye for design detail. He helped us with many design decisions along the way and the final result was the proof of his expertise. Nick did great (detail) carpentry work. Larry's father (Pop) (gas) very knowledgeable also. Steve was a pro with the electrical and Ron did a great job with the tile and many other things. Dom did a nice job with the drywall finishing, etc. One on the things we were most pleased with was Larry's suggestion relating to our kitchen floor which needed to be replaced and was different from the red oak hardwood on the rest of the 1st floor. He recommended that we/he install red oak in the kitchen and re-stain the whole downstairs to have one uniform color. That worked out very well. Also installed larger baseboards throughout via his recommendation. Big bang for the buck. Refinished our old (red brick) fireplace adding porcelain to the front and the hearth. Very well done. There were a few scheduling hiccups that would be expected, but this was mitigating with solid open two way regular communications. We made many changes to the original plan (electrical, Powder room, fireplace/porcelain) and Larry was competitive/fair with pricing. Regular updates on billing were provided by Nadine and all with full transparency. Very happy with the outcome! Thanks Larry and team!

Larry DiCicco was referred to me by Cabinet Tree. This company robbed me!
The crew demolished my existing cabinets instead of unscrewing them from the walls. My old cabinets were intended for my detached garage. The owner Larry and team disappeared for over a month after the demo. Leaving me and my daughter subjected to cold weather conditions and old debris from the attic and walls. They cut corners, broke my mirrors, dented and scratched my appliances as they didn’t protect anything. They didn’t clean up. Larry and his team left the job incomplete after receiving a few dollars short of full payment. In the demo process alone I suffered busted pipes and a huge leak. My electrical wiring was cut and never repaired. Nor did they repair, replace any thing damaged by them.
Run!

Complete disappointment. Read good and bad reviews and decided to give this company a chance. It is clear from reading the reviews they pick and choose who they want to deliver quality, dependable, honest service. Unfortunately, my family was not one. The lack of care and concern for my family, knowing I have young children is beyond me. We hired this company for an addition. They never finished the job. We had to pay more out of pocket to get the job done with other companies. Over a year of lies, cutting corners, weeks going by without any workers showing up. My family was always pushed aside for other jobs. The company’s workers who we specifically asked about prior to going forward, we rarely saw. We were sent outside contractors. Going over 6 months without a roof on our addition. Being told it was ordered. Finding out it was a lie. After Larry continuously dodging the question I made a call to the company myself. The truth revealed itself, he never placed the order. Prior to this telling me samples of the roof were not available. Again, I made a call to the company and they sent me plenty of samples. Total laziness. His workers would say overwhelmed. I say terrible way to run a business. We contacted this company before Covid, stayed loyal until we were ready to move forward. The loyalty was not reciprocated. Due to not having a roof, the amount of water that entered our addition was disturbing. No reason for not having a roof. Poor excuse of Covid. Ordering the roof is a start to getting a roof. And to think he would care about the water coming in. But no, he was never reachable when needed. Oh that’s right, it’s the weekend and he didn’t give a damn about the people that put trust in him. I saved him a lot of work by putting a tarp up to save my house from even more water entering since we had no roof on that section.
Let’s talk about the trash left in our yard throughout the duration of the project which was over a year. We were told we would get a dumpster, never saw one. Some random trash guy would come when we complained enough about the trash left. Seriously treated our yard as a junk yard. His employees, leaving coffee cups and lunch when they did show. I had to clean, move materials and try to save my home from even more damage since he cared less. Let’s not fail to mention the conversations of my displeasure. All lies. He loses sleep at night, getting emotional on the phone and promises to get it right. If that was the case, this job would have been finished, the right way. One theme throughout the negative reviews, cutting corners. Absolutely. He will take the easiest, cheapest way out. He clearly thought I was an idiot to try and get by with doing some things in ways that were just totally unacceptable. We should have demanded even more and better, but with looking forward to using our addition for first Labor Day party- not done, November birthday party- not done, Christmas- not done, we just wanted to be DONE! We accepted the unacceptable and will be paying even more to have items fixed in the future. But for now, having this project ongoing for over a year, my family needs a break.
I truly believed Larry was a good guy throughout but he surely proved me wrong. Actions speak louder than words. Knowing he has two daughters, it was unimaginable that he would handle this project the way he did and have such disregard for my family. I do believe in KARMA.

DiCicco Builders were a pleasure to work with. From estimating and planning to completion, Larry and his team were professional and respectful of our time and home and their quality of work is impeccable. I was particularly impressed with the work done by Domenic, who did the majority of the project. They gave our family a fantastic bathroom. I would not hesitate to recommend DiCicco Builders to my friends and family and I already have our next project with them in the works.
