Gold Leaf Designs

We cannot recommend John and his team highly enough! They completely renovated our condo from top to bottom — kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, hardwood floors, window treatments — every detail was beautifully handled. The end result is a bright, welcoming space that turned out exactly as we had envisioned. Living on the West Coast during the project could have made coordination a challenge, but John and his team made the process seamless. Communication was excellent: John was flexible, responsive, and proactive every step of the way. A special shout-out to Jobes and Kristin, who were instrumental in keeping everything organized and on schedule. While we came in with a strong sense of what we wanted, we truly appreciated their design expertise and honest guidance. They offered thoughtful advice that helped us make the best decisions for our space. Despite a few design changes along the way, they stayed true to both our budget and our overall vision — something we are incredibly grateful for. Every member of the team was professional, trustworthy, and a pleasure to work with. It’s rare to find a contractor who combines high-quality workmanship with such a client-focused approach. We would enthusiastically recommend John and his team to anyone looking for a top-tier construction and remodeling experience!

After my wife and I decided to finally put a bathroom off our loft bedroom we contacted an architect that we use before to great success on our small shore house. While drawing up plans for the bathroom addition and a renovation of our first floor bathroom he suggested GoldLeaf Designs a local custom home builder. John Kang owner of GoldLeaf agreed to be our contractor and we are glad he did. Not only did they finish on time but also at budget. John explained the whole process of project stages and transfer of funds for each stage. Site manager Jobes couldn't have been more helpful. He would contact us right away if there was a issue or snag to resolve to keep the project on time. My wife and I are extremely happy with the end results. The roof system, the exterior, the wood working, the floor and wall tile was all expertly installed. Thanks to the whole GoldLeaf team for a job well done.

Working with John, Jobes, and this entire team has been an absolute pleasure. Building a fully custom, wheelchair-accessible home has been a long-time dream, and they turned it into a reality that exceeded all my expectations. Their attention to detail, thoughtful design, and seamless integration of style and functionality are truly remarkable. Throughout the project, I always had a direct line of communication with the team, who were consistently available to answer questions, provide advice, and offer support. While building a new home can often be a stressful experience, John and his team went above and beyond to ensure the process was smooth, efficient, and enjoyable. There are countless decisions involved in building a home, but hiring Gold Leaf Designs was undoubtedly the best one I made. The entire experience, from start to finish, was nothing short of fantastic!

John and his team, led by Jobes, recently remodeled our outdated kitchen, and we are beyond thrilled with the results. John and Jobes managed every detail of the project, coordinating all contractors and workers with precision. Every member of the crew was friendly and respectful, which made us feel completely at ease throughout the process. One thing that really stood out was the cleanliness—John’s team maintained extreme neatness, always tidying up at the end of each day. This attention to cleanliness made us feel comfortable with them working in our home, even when we weren’t there. Toward the end of the project, we came home from vacation and were completely wowed by our new kitchen. They were timely, professional, and walked us through every step, from initial planning to completion, even though we only had a vague idea of what we wanted at the start. Their communication was excellent, and they were genuinely committed to the smallest details, ensuring that the design met our vision. Despite a few unexpected changes along the way, they kept the project within budget and in line with our goals, which was a huge plus. If you’re looking for a professional, detail-oriented team that makes you feel confident in their work from beginning to end, John and his crew are the best choice!

John built our beautiful, fully custom, retirement home and we are very happy living here since October, 2023. He has excellent integrity, and his attention to the customer and to the details is what really brought success to our project. He is responsive and persistent in finding solutions to all issues that rise. The design is exactly what we had in mind, and the details added up to a beautiful space. Building a home is a long and complex process. Working with John made it a lot easier, and provided trust and security. I highly recommend his firm without hesitation.
