Reviews note attractive model homes, detailed design features, and responsive communication from some team members. Several homeowners highlight satisfaction with the finished product and minimal touch-ups after move-in. Other feedback mentions communication gaps during construction and concerns about finish quality or change management on certain projects. Overall ratings show mixed experiences that vary by project and expectations.

I waited 10 months to write this review. After almost a year i can say that building a house is stressful and so are timelines. we had some communication issues and some disagreements but that is to be expected when you are building your dream home. In the end, after everything was said and done CHOV built a beautiful home and we love it. The craftsmanship has held up and our one year after touch up list was very minor. Even though the process was stressful the end product is our dream home.

As a realtor in Virginia Beach the quality and craftsmanship just isn't there for the price they charge on a custom build.
Nothing but issues for a previous client of mine. I didn't represent her on this build but I sold her the lot she built her dream home on. They even installed the wrong siding on her house and refused to fix it unless she paid extra.
Now they are dealing with plumbing, electrical, and other issues. They refuse to fix cosmetic issues on a new million dollar home as well.
Do not recommend.

Updating due to reply..
Again as previously stated I did not represent her on the home you built for her, but I did represent her on the lot she built the home on and have seen the home after being finished. You denied her claims and blocked her and her husband on social media. I just felt compelled to leave a review as I am very sad for her this was supposed to be their dream home and it's been more of a nightmare.

My Team and I liked seeing the property on Kentucky Trail. It’s not hard to appreciate the level of quality and amount of detail that went into the design and construction of the homes.

Dr. Broan was extremely knowledgeable from land acquisition, to materials sourced and more. Excited to see the finished product!

Had the absolute pleasure of touring their Bellview model in Chesapeake today. It is STUNNING! It’s hard to pick out just one thing that stands out but if I HAD to pick one thing it would be the primary suite and the adjoining owners retreat attached to the deck!!! I can’t wait to see the home completed!!!

We had the most wonderful experience building our new home with Custom Homes of Virginia! The entire team worked hard to make our homebuilding process as seamless and personal as possible. They made the design process so much fun! And they really helped us match up colors and features and even helped us design a custom kitchen we saw online almost to a tee! The construction team was always very responsive to my almost daily emails and inquiries. In the end, they delivered our absolute dream home!???? A huge shout out to the entire CHOV team....Jessica, Wake, Garret, Tracy, Jami, Brian, and Kenton! THANKS FOR BEING SO AWESOME!
