Recent reviews show mixed experiences. Positive feedback often mentions clear communication, helpful design support, and a smooth custom-build process. Critical comments cite delays on certain post-close items and concerns about responsiveness, as well as an isolated note about staff conduct off-site. Overall ratings trend above average while highlighting room for improvement in follow-through.
After one of their drivers in a company-wrapped Ford Maverick aggressively tailgated me and flipped me off, I feel like I’ve experienced enough of the brand to provide feedback. If you’re looking for a company that values professionalism, emotional maturity, and sound judgment, I can confidently say at least one employee is working tirelessly to lower your expectations. The truly impressive part wasn’t the road rage. That’s normal. The impressive part was doing it in a vehicle wrapped with the company name and logo. That’s the kind of confidence usually reserved for extremely intelligent individuals.
Anderson Homes removed reviews from Facebook. This is a brand new home built by Anderson Homes. The front door has never worked properly since before closing. Several patch jobs by Anderson Homes have been attempted, sliding hinges out of the mortises cracking the door jamb. Adjusting the door leaving a 1/2" gap between the door jamb and trim wanting to fill with caulk. A year ago, Anderson Homes stated they were waiting on siding for the repair then decided to fill the gap with caulk instead of making a proper repair. The door whistles when the wind blows. Unacceptable on a brand new home. 29 months later, still not fixed. The roof has leaked for 15 plus months causing ceiling drywall damage. Anderson Homes was immediately notified of the leak and multiple times thereafter the damage was becoming worse. With the roof leaking, Anderson Homes has access to the roof of the home every day. The very visible patch is much worse in person that's not captured by a photo. Once again, this is a brand new home. Anderson Homes stated the very visible patch was acceptable. How many would want a very visible patch in their brand new home's living room?A simple thing as a missing screen noted on closing documents still hasn't been delivered, 29 months later.November 6, 2025 after much discussion with Anderson Homes, an agreement was reached to properly repair the front door and repair the living room tray ceiling to the original new home condition before the roof leak. The ceiling patch would no longer be visible.November 14, 2025, received the message below from Anderson Homes asking if November 25, 2025 works for us to begin repairs. November 17, 2025, called Anderson Homes stating November 25, 2025 did not work for us due to work scheduling conflict and asked to schedule a date after the first of the year since work schedules have already been built and calendar is full. Anderson Homes stated it would be no problem. Few hours later received a call from Anderson Homes COO. While trying to discuss rescheduling in January, was over talked and told I couldn't finish a sentence then hung up on. November 19, 2025, received a call from Anderson Homes stating if the house wasn't available November 25, 2025, Anderson Homes would not repair the living room tray ceiling as agreed and would call in March 2026 to schedule the front door repair. Another 4 to 6 month repair delay.Anderson Homes has been informed numerous times November 25, 2025 would not work due to work scheduling conflict, but it was an all or nothing demand. Since purchasing the home, Anderson Homes has been informed multiple times work schedules are built up to six weeks out, but have made alternate arrangements on several occasions when able to accommodate Anderson Homes . With November 25, 2025 being 2 days before Thanksgiving and one of the busiest travel days of the holiday, no alternate plans could be made to the work schedule to accommodate Anderson Homes.Russ has been asked to call or respond multiple times. All that's asked of Anderson Homes is to honor the agreement made on November 6, 2025 since work schedule conflicts with November 25, 2025. Anderson Homes did ask, as seen in the posted message, if November 25, 2025 worked for us, but now demands November 25, 2025 or the living room tray ceiling in a brand new home would not be repaired.Russ, please call to schedule the agreed repairs.*** UPDATE *** In response to Anderson Homes post on November 24, 2025, the home has been made available multiple days. If needed, can post the entire list of dates, 4 additional days within the recent 30 days requested by Anderson Homes. Communication has been a problem with Anderson Homes. Recent example, took Anderson Homes 22 days for a call that was supposed to be no later than the next day. Will Anderson Homes honor the agreement made November 6, 2025 as indicated in the November 14, 2025 message posted below? Haven't been contacted since this post.
Built a custom in 2022 with Anderson. Russ was exceptional and made sure the project fit our vision, budget, and timeline. Alexis was a fantastic designer; has great knowledge and taste for the selections they offer. Project manager Corey felt like our own personal employee. Their team made the whole process a breeze. We expected a lot of stress when we decided to build a custom house, but instead we were blown away at the exceptional service and product we received from Anderson. We are proud to have an Anderson home and we make sure to recommend them when we hear a friend is in the market for a new home.
I've built five homes with Russ and his team at Anderson Homes over the last decade. I've built homes with other builders and I can attest that with Anderson Homes, the process efficiency, the communication, and the final product are nothing short of absolutely impressive each and every time.Work Hard, Live Well!
I have been working with Russ and his team for a few years fabricating their custom stairs, rails, stove hoods, awnings and anything else they may need. I absolutely enjoy the Anderson Homes team and all the skilled tradesmen I work with on the job sites. Quality built homes by quality people!
