We had the best experience purchasing our new home from Davidson builders. The listing agent Kevin was so pleasant to work with and helpful with all of our questions and needs. We used the in-house lender, and Nathaniel was top-notch. We are loving our new home.
This builder is a total joke! The craftsmanship is sub par! Cracks in the tiptoe, ceiling is exposing connections, carpet is trash, floor is cheap, doors aren’t sealed, list goes on and on! But now it’s the homeowners problem! Awful company to buy from! Do not recommend!
Told construction manager on two different occasions that my front door seamed warped at the top. He just brushed my concerns to the side. Didn't know how bad it was until I went by my new house after the closing. I went up to the front door and lights were on inside and dark outside and you could see the gap at the top very well. Air will leak out and in through this gap. I had my realtor contact the construction manager and he told her that I would have to contact the home warranty. In other words I have closed on my house now and it is my problem now. I feel very betrayed. There are three other things that are broken/messed up that would take me to long to explain. Guess I'm on my own. Best advice I can give to anyone is go through the house on your own with a fine toothed comb before signing on the dotted line. I am a single woman and do no have the abilities to fix these things on my own.
Davidson was great to work with and worked through everything in a timely fashion. They made the homebuying process a seamless experience. Kevin Holiday was especially great in getting the repairs I needed done squared away.
Build quality is very poor. Warranty is written in a way that protects the builder and hurts the home owner. Cute houses? Yes (Until they start to fall apart). Great layout? Yes. But don’t get sold. Reach out and I’ll gladly show you what an 11 month old Davidson Home looks like including the broken tile they refuse to fix despite it being a substrate and/or installation issue. Buyer beware.
