View Homes Des Moines

We stopped by an open house with View Homes Des Moines and ended up way more impressed than we expected! We were just “casually looking”… and then suddenly we were like, wait… do we need to move? ?? The home itself was beautiful — super thoughtful layout, great finishes, and you can tell they really care about the details. Everything just felt well put together, not rushed or cookie-cutter. The team there was also really friendly and easy to talk to. No pressure, just helpful and happy to answer our questions (even the random ones). If you’re even thinking about building or buying in West Des Moines, it’s definitely worth checking out one of their open houses. Just be warned… you might leave mentally rearranging your entire life ??

Working with Erin Swift was truly an exceptional experience from start to finish. Her professionalism, communication, attention to detail, and knowledge of the housing market was unmatched. Erin went above and beyond all our expectations and was available all hours of the day, everyday!

My husband and I had a great experience building our first home with View Homes in Fox Creek Meadows. The process felt smooth and way less overwhelming than we expected, especially as first-time buyers. Erin Swift was our realtor and she was amazing, and super responsive, honest, and helpful every step of the way. We’re really happy with the quality of the home and grateful for how easy the whole experience felt.

Update after over a year in our View Home: We are still elated with our home. We are settled in and comfy and every nook and detail of the house fits us. We have come really enjoy the large pantry and master closet. The master bath is like a luxury hotel. The windows are amazing and the deep ledges on all windows have been perfect for our cats. The home remains rock solid through storms, winds, snow, and all other Iowa weather. The Emerson plan has been great for parties because both levels of the house are great for entertainment. The daylight basement is used just as much as the upstairs! The covered deck has gotten a lot of use, too! We had a birthday party up to 30 people and the space managed it between both levels and the great backyard and deck. I don't see moving anytime soon but it will ALWAYS be a View home. The quality and detail of their homes is amazing. I also want to say I have communicated with View Homes for a number of small questions/assistance since purchase and they are always available and helpful They for sure keep a lasting relationship with their homeowners. They are also around to do after purchase work such as deck additions, build-ins, flooring upgrades, etc at reasonable prices. I like that because they are the ones that built the house and they know/have access to all the plans/know the house inside and out I'll make this simple: Buy a View Home! Original review after move-in: I moved into my new home on Nov 7th, 2024 Emerson Plan. It is an amazing layout! The eat in kitchen comfortably fits 8 people, the grand livingroom fits 2 recliner sofas and 1 recliner theater loveseat very comfortably to entertain a dozen people! Master is so large I'll need a bigger bed! Master closet is immacutate and very large. Kitchen is beautiful with large finished pantry. The daylight basement feels like it isnt even a basement it is do bright and inviting. The 3 bedrooms in the lower felt odd at first but after 1st night it is unexpectedly perfect, the bedrooms are spacious and bright overlooking the perfect backyard. The showstopper is my new office with bright windows and 14foot ceilings. The house is my dream forever home. View Homes did an amazing job, they were great to work with Jason, Jim, and Tricia. My inspector said it was built like a rock, no corners cut, he would recommend the builder himself. My young son needless to say is ecstatic with our move. Highly recommend if you want a well-thought out, detailed, professional, and small town customer support feel builder that answers texts and calls without issue. Can't say enough good, sorry about the long review but they deserve it!
