I started researching tiny homes about a year ago. I visited several local builders and finally ended up at American Built Tiny Homes in 2023. I had specific limits to the size I needed so I started working with the owner Joe and designer Dee. I created a few drawings for what I was looking for. Joe and Dee worked with me on layout and design ideas. I decided on a 8’x 35’ single story home. I asked for a deck over trailer so I could get a full width of 8 feet. Some of my ideas didn’t quite workout, so Joe and Dee helped me navigate a few changes to my design so that the functionality was there. It turned out better than expected! I’m so proud of my tiny home and so happy. I feel like it’s the best thing for me that I could have done. I’m retired and I like to travel so buying this home has made my dreams come true. I am very grateful that I was able to customize the floor plan to what worked for me. Joe has a great team that I got to know. I live in Escondido so I could stop by any time and watch the process. I am grateful and a very happy customer.

I began my journey with American Built Tiny Homes in January of 2023. As a single mom living in San Diego County, I needed an affordable housing option and was very interested in tiny homes. After several months of research I decided to choose American Built Tiny Homes as my builder. Joe, Dee, and the rest of the team were always so welcoming and attentive throughout the entire process of my build. They made my dream home come to life for me and my children. They were able to customize the floor plan to what worked for us, maximizing our space and privacy.
