Valere Homes

We built our forever custom home with Valere and had a great experience. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a great house. Our project manager, Charles, helped us navigate all the questions we had in the process and really helped us make smart decisions on the final plans. Their project management system for clients was a great tool for us to keep up with the scheduled and benchmarks. Charles and the Valere team's support through the build and after we moved in has been top notch. They take pride in their work and service to clients, and you feel that from the first day.

I had taken my custom home plans to Valere Homes around 6 years ago and they had a great plan set up on walking through situations, time frame for process during building, and helping with changes for city requirement codes needed. I know I probably drove Charles nuts with questions all the time, but everything did turned out wonderful on the house and they were even able to get us moved in 3 days before Christmas for my girls. Yep even got a tree up! The reason this review being later interestingly is they have a 10 year home warranty that went with building a house. Most probably never think on this but twice this year I have had minor issues that needed correcting and Charles responded. Steve came out both times and discussed the problems and solutions and fixed at no charge.

While looking for a builder for our new custom home, we were referred to Valere Homes by one of their previous clients who was very happy with their new build. We met with Charles, Valere’s Business Development Manager, and were immediately impressed with his knowledge and experience in the building industry. He thoroughly explained the process, what to expect, and how we could keep our budget on track. Throughout the project, Charles kept us updated and informed every step of the way. He guided us toward his network of suppliers to pick the perfect finishes, plumbing and cabinetry for our needs. One thing we appreciate most about this company is that they were always available to address our concerns. Calls were either answered immediately or returned promptly. They made us feel like we were their only client which helped reduce the stress that comes with building a home. Davin, the Project Manager, was always there to be sure things were going smoothly. Everyone at Valere was so easy to work with and kept open communication throughout. Chris (the owner) and his wife Jennifer have a knowledge of building that’s as good as it gets. We’ve now been in our new house for a year and couldn’t be happier. Of course there were some follow-up items that needed to be addressed. They were quick to resolve an after market warranty on our A/C unit. And they assigned Steve to take care of some small but important issues which he did quickly and beyond our expectations. We love Steve, Charles, Chris and the rest of the crew. This house is now a showpiece! In fact, our home won 2nd place in the 2024 AREA awards for new custom builds in Alabama! We are thrilled with our new dream home and thankful that we chose Valere Homes to make it a reality.

We’ve been in our custom home for 2 months and we absolutely love it. We had never built a new home before and had a LOT of questions. Charles was patient and extremely helpful. He understood that we had a specific vision and a specific budget in mind. He was a great resource to help us find alternatives when our wants exceeded our budget. There were times that communication could’ve been better, but I’m sure that would be the case with any builder. Overall Valere Homes was the best choice to build our beautiful custom home. We have referred many friends to them and will continue to do so.

We have been in our new home now for about 7 months and several people have knocked on our door asking who built our home. We are always happy to share in our experience of what a great team Valere is! I felt I should write a review for a job well done!
Everything is very organized, and making personal choices for our home was an incredibly fun experience. We appreciated so much the personal side of things from the beginning. Chris , Charles or Davin will come to the site to walk thru, talk about and help with anything on your mind whenever needed throughout the whole process, and also Charles is in available communication mode at all times and will return calls or messages as prompt as he can . Knowing that Chris is very meticulous and quite the perfectionist helped us choose them as well because we knew he would make sure all met his own personal high quality standards. So satisfied with all of the sub contractors for being so prompt, efficient, hard working, respectful and kind , and also appreciated Valere's handyman, Steve who will go above and beyond to take care of anything you need. Also, there were some things that are simply the high standard of Valere in the way they build or added accents in the home that they do not even charge extra for that I would have thought would have been an upgrade charge.
Also, In the beginning of any big project in life there is an estimated time of completion but delays in life, weather and choice changes are going to happen so there has to be flexibility in timing.
You know, reviews can be great , and I don't do them often but nothing takes the places of seeing someone face to face and deciding for yourself because sadly you'll see a derogatory review and place a judgement when in reality some people can never be satisfied and make it priority in life to just tear others down from sheer chronic negativity or petty issues so you can't always bank on those. If you are looking to build make sure you meet with them and give them a chance to show you what they are about . Building a house can be a tough experience for some but we decided from the start we wanted to be team players in our building experience with Valere. We are thankful for the blessing of sharing this journey with a builder who had the same values of the importance of relationship as we did. :-) We absolutely love our new home!!!!
