Reviews mention appreciation for the variety of floor plans, functional laundry-to-closet connections in some models, and spacious baths. Several comments highlight attractive community options and location. Some homeowners report concerns about construction finishes and follow-up repairs, and a few note frustrations related to HOA matters. Overall ratings trend positive but reflect a mix of experiences with workmanship and community management.
I too like Robbin R. am disappointed with my purchase for various reasons. But mainly the poor construction (stucco thin and poorly applied, second floor bedroom sloped and after several attempts still not repaired properly, caulking issues throughout the house, poorly applied and repaired, etc. etc). In addition, I too had the police called on me regarding my vehicle being inoperable which was absolutely not true and as if calling the police and sending them to my home at 7:00 a.m., wasn't enough, they reported me to the HOA who wrote me a letter but they did verify with me that it wasn't a true complaint. Truly if my neighbors have an issue, I don't mind them coming by, knocking on the door and letting me know that something I'm doing is disturbing their peace. We all purchased these homes wanting the same things I'm sure, peace, quiet, a beautiful neighborhood and nice homes that will increase in value overtime. Having great neighbors is important as well. I don't think any of us intend to disturb one another intentionally, but we all know that it could happen unintentionally. I have no complaints about my neighbors because people have a right to enjoy their homes without being harassed or singled out for minor issues found in most neighborhoods. I wouldn't recommend a purchase here for many reasons, mostly construction related, but the neighbors definitely are not one of the reasons. Hopefully when the rest of the homes sell, we can move forward with increased respresentation by homeowners on the board and address real and impactful issues. I worked in Code Enforcement for 18 years and Law Enforcement for 20 years and obtaining the balance between community enjoyment and rules enforcement can be tough at times. I see the beautiful improvements being made by neighbors and it's gives me hope.
This builder had a sizable count of models to explore. We were impressed with most floor plans, room size, and kitchen layout.Notable favorites were the laundry room adjacent to the Primary closet. This is a great design feature which limits the distance for hanging clothes. Another notable favorite was the size of the shower and depth/length of tub. It may seem odd to point out that most models had a window in the toilet space but let's be real, a window in that otherwise dark "closet" space makes sense. This builder had lots of options to show off. I'm a fan!
HONEST REVIEW! It took me a long time to decide to write this review, as obviously I am a homeowner and want the perceived value of the property here to increase, but my integrity would not longer let me paint a false narrative about this community.I purchased a home here a year ago, and at first was ecstatic! The customer service (sales agent, construction team) was amazing. However, I deeply regret my purchase here now, mostly due to the HOA. The Narra Hills Community Association HOA has been inconsistent with their fees and in addition, I have no idea how the money us residents pay to the HOA benefits our community. I requested a janitorial service, as there is trash and debris (mostly due to winds and being close to a major freeway), but was told they do not have the budget for it (seem they only have the budget to hire people to harass residents). In addition the HOA has harassed me and a few other residents here. The HOA towed one of my cars when the community was mostly vacant and absolutely no signs up, and I ended up losing my vehicle and assets in the vehicle. When I looked over the HOA bylaws, I found there was absolutely no rule that was violated that warranted the towing of my vehicle and when I filed an appeal, it was dismissed with no consideration on no rule being violated. In addition to that, since then, the HOA has targeted and harassed me since, in form of retaliation. They are extremely unprofessional. They even went so far to call the police on me for my toy poodle dog running into my front yard with no leash! I could not believe the police was called over this. They also will make up complaints with no evidence. I have never been in a situation where I have wanted to move due to an HOA. My small poodle got out and I was given the wrong phone number of the resident who found my dog. Abuse of power at its finest!I believe this community would be in better hands if there is a new, professional HOA that actually cares about the residents happiness here, as opposed to finding any reason to send violation letters and make up allegations with no evidence. There has been many other instances that I continue to speak on, but this will be too long of a summary. They pick and choose when to respond to emails and will drive by your house, actively looking for something to complain about on a normal basis, but never to truly help. I also had an incident where a random man knocked at my door in the middle of the night, asking to rent a room. As a mother, it frightened me, and when I called the HOA to alert of this incident, it was ignored and I was told to call the police. Serious matters that require attention or efforts to make homeowners feel safe and fulfilled and happy about the home purchase is not their priority, They have made up complaints about my child playing outside. They shorten the pool hours and make decisions ,with no regard on the impact to the residents. This has become the biggest regret, as I invested in a home here, and it is truly due to the HOA.The sales staff in the front office are distinct and different from the HOA, so it is not their fault. There is no focus on what the homeowners actually want here and it seems their pursuit is counterproductive. I truly feel I am paying for an agency to harass me and I now see how the happiness of purchasing a home is dependent on the agency chosen to oversee the properties. You would think an HOA that is in a brand new small community would care about its residents, but the people they have chosen to run the HOA seems to be on a power trip and retaliate. When you are paying a very high mortgage payment and withstood times during construction and loud noises and debris, heavy wind area and fire prone area, near freeway, and receive this in return, (there is more that I can say) it is NOT worth it and there are better areas. Again, this neighborhood has potential, but it must first start with getting a better HOA to oversee the property.
