Jimmy and his team came highly recommended to us and were a pleasure to work with. Highly professional, responsive, and easy to work with.

We bought a new construction TN Valley home in May 2024. We were especially impressed at the quality of the selections and finishes. Like any new home, there were some issues that needed to be addressed from time to time over the past year. This is expected and a normal part of the process. TN has been very responsive and helpful with issues that needed to be addressed. Their project managers have been helpful and their warranty guy, George, is the best. He is a class act and has made the experience so much easier. Having a responsive warranty person like George makes all the difference between a frustrating, unpleasant experience and a happy customer. I would buy/build with TN Valley again in the future.

Writing a buyer-beware post as we've been in our home for 6 months now and still are waiting on things to be completed that should have been done prior to us closing -- bathroom hardware, toe kicks installed, garage weather stripping, and general blue tape touchups.

Ultimately, there are some very nice and well intentioned folks working on the front-line at TVH. I imagine many of these problems are top-down leadership and general staffing, but my patience has expired.

In the beginning, we were told certain selections such as vaulted ceilings weren't available to us (despite us having photos of our exact same floor plan with these selections) due to our "footprint". Likewise, certain customization requests were denied up front, which I attribute to TVH being overwhelmed and unwilling to work with us at the time we were building. I regret not pushing them harder on some of the basics, but we accepted that, and continued the process with TVH.

In general, they build very aesthetically pleasing houses, and in general it is a high-quality build, but the execution is pretty poor and disorganized... and in some areas the quality lacks a lot to be desired. Multiple times wrong selections were installed in our home, and only because we were under a time crunch did we close when we did (despite closing a few weeks later than expected).

However, here I am now 6 months later with many of the same open items as I had March 1st. Furthermore, after living in the house for 6 months, it seems like all of the items my home inspector reported to TVH prior to closing were generally ignored and I have real concerns about wrapping things up before my 1 year home builder warranty expires... and even greater concerns about what I find 2-3 years down the road. Frankly, I went into this process trusting TVH, but that has been completed eroded.

My 2 star review is in no way an indictment of certain individuals at TVH - as everyone has been friendly altho somewhat sporadic to reply. Instead, I think that the company in general is disorganized, understaffed & frankly a little over their heads. If I had a redo, I absolutely would not trust them to build me a $1.6M home & instead would pursue other options. If you do build with TVH, I encourage you to factor in a lot of lead-time on your build and do not sign until the house is 110% to your liking. I've been very patient and accommodating, and as a result I feel like I've been a bit burned throughout this entire process dating back to April of 2022.

They build a nice home but there is zero customer service both during and after the build. I'm absolutely happy to raise my rating one day but 6+ months after building the house and there are still items that need finished or done right and no accountability. 6 months for working slider doors after the house was "finished" and 8+ months now and counting to get my outdoor ceiling fans working AT ALL.

We purchased our new home from Tennessee Valley Homes and I will say that, overall, the home is wonderful. The style choices are sometimes very builder grade but overall on trend and some upscale things were added. I am primarily writing my first google review to comment on the warranty process. We have carpeting on our entire upstairs floor and have such little sub flooring that we have carpet tacks stick out at nearly every wall and seam. While the fraying seams were fixed, we had to email and call many many times and even ask our realtor to assist us even to get a response. We have very small children and even after “fixing” the issue (someone from TVH coming with a hammer and pounding tacks flat for around an hour) we have very sharp tacks sticking up in many places. We have been very pleased to meet wonderful and helpful people since moving to TN but I cannot say the same for this business or Kathy, who is our provided contact. She has been very very difficult to get in touch with.
