As a realtor, it’s honestly not often I run into new construction home companies that communicate well, are quick to handle everything, and are genuinely good people. UPDATE- July 28, 2025My initial review still stands. I am being 100% transparent. Make your decision based on facts. I’ve posted what I believe would have been helpful to me if I read this review before purchasing. In my opinion, do not purchase a home from Foundation Homes. There are numerous builders in the state of Virginia (please remember that VA is a buyer beware state) Take your chances with another builder. Do your research. My warranty for most things will be up in November 2025. Because they have done such questionable, sub par, work or perhaps hired contractors from the cheapest companies, I will have an home inspection done to ensure I am not overlooking anything. I have never done this before and this is my third home. Be careful, do your research, and good luck if you purchase a home from them. Posted my last correspondence below. You make the determination based on what you read. Again Good Luck.(ADDENDUM POSTED BELOW- 4/17/25)DO NOT PURCHASE A HOME BY THIS BUILDER. I closed on my home on November 6, 2024. It cost over 600k and it’s been a nightmare. It’s really unfortunate and I am deathly afraid of what will happen in this house after my 1 year warranty is up. They don’t care after they get your money. Now I can say, they are responsive and people come out to repair the many issues BUT the workmanship is subpar and they hire contractors from all walks of life to do the work. This is my 3rd and supposedly “forever home” but, I am certain we’ll sell in 3-5 years to find a more reliable “forever”. I’ve attached the warranty claims and pictures of some issues. Of note, every appliance (microwave, refrigerator, oven, and dishwasher) thus far has had to be repaired or awaiting repair and I haven’t been here 6 months. I don’t wish this experience on my worst enemy.Addendum 4/17/25: although the support should not have taken this long, the effort to “make everything right” began. I received a new dishwasher on 4/13 and it was installed yesterday 4/16. The drainage issue (mentioned in the warranty claim pics) is slated to be re-addressed next week. I am extremely appreciative of the professional and caring actions taken now. As I stated to the staff of Foundation Homes, I would be doing a disservice to future homeowners if I “removed” the review; however, it is important to me to be transparent by reporting new information and I will continue to do so.
