Recent reviews are mixed. Positive notes mention helpful community supervisors and responsive follow-up during or shortly after move-in. Critical feedback raises concerns about build quality, communication, and completion of punch-list or warranty items. Buyers suggest closely reviewing inspections, insulation and HVAC details, and documenting service requests during the first year.

Worst company ever!! Do NOT buy a home from woodside!! My wife and I made the mistake of buying a new build woodside home a couple years ago and are still very disappointed to this day. From extremely poor and pathetic construction of the house to horrible customer service and leadership this company should be ashamed of themselves. I have a laundry list of complaints that I could go through but the biggest one would be the incompletion of our stucco which ultimately lead to a bee infestation in our home (our 1 year old sons room!) which resulted in us paying over $6000 in total cost for the demo and repair to exterminate the bee hive! Woodside never bothered to cover the cost even though it was still under warranty, nor did they bother to fix the issue even after we addressed it many times to the superintendent and the head of customer service. Believe me when I say I am the last person who would ever get online to leave a bad review about anything but I really felt the need to do this. Buying a new build home should be an amazing experience from the day construction begins to the day you move out. Unfortunately this has not been the case at all for my wife and I. Save your money and your time and do NOT buy from woodside homes!!!

Noel Morton-Peterson on Woodside Homes of Arizona

An update AND A FIRM WARNING: After we brought in an expert from SRP's register of contractors, we discovered 1) the entire home has about 1/2 the insulation it needed to meet code (R9 vs R38), 2) there weren't any markers or a permanent certificate posted (per code) so we had to measure throughout, 3) luckily several areas has NO insulation, making it easy to measure, 4) the air handlers were taped together - not sealed, 5) there are TWO ducts feeding all 3800 square feet of this home with dampers that are already stuck closed, and 6) we had a contract for blown-in insulation, they swapped it for batting - and didn't install a single inch correctly. Everything is compressed, water and power lines over it pushing it into the attic floor - and enormous gaps where it should be at least touching the rafters.

All this was also supported with the thermal images they said didn't prove anything. Further, we were able to see all this without ripping out the drywall - which they said had to be ripped out to do any testing whatsoever. They also told me I needed the house at 73 degrees to get thermal imaging to work (impossible in AZ w/o insulation), and it turned out that wasn't true either.

All this for the low, low price of $900k, thanks to Woodside homes.

I've sent this ahead on August 5th with no response as of yet. Looks like I'm just on the hook for another $10k + to make my brand new house pass code. I've also forwarded this to the City of Mesa so they know to be wary of this builder in our community.

**Original Post**
Do not buy from this builder. Period. They have tried to gaslight me into thinking my house is supposed to be missing insulation and any resulting heat is because I don't have enough fans.

I made the mistake of listening to their warranty guy when he told me early on, "the rooms are warm because you need fans to move the air."

He lied. At least one room was (and is) warm because - we live in Phoenix - and there's NO INSULATION above the master bedroom.

A thermal camera suggests the issue may exist in other rooms.

When I contacted Woodside, I originally just wanted to inform them of a quality assurance issue - to improve upon for future builds - because I knew it was well outside our "warranty" period. But, at first, the lady said she was going to fix the issue. I thought, wow. That's above and beyond.

Then I sent the thermal images and got ghosted.

Two weeks later, I had finally sent enough emails and texts. She responded. But she said her specialists at Mesa Insulation have determined my house to be sufficiently insulated.

I've included photos - the attic photo is just above my bed, you'll see the ductwork that goes into my bedroom. The thermal image is of the ceiling in my bedroom - where the drywall is over 90 degrees at this very moment. They called this properly insulated.

She further indicated that my only options for testing are basically to get my house down to 73 degrees (which, because it has no insulation, it won't get much below 80 this time of year) OR I can hire someone to start ripping out drywall. Otherwise - they consider this a fully complete insulation job.

These houses are going for a million right now and - at a minimum - if you buy here, there's a strong chance you aren't getting the "energy star" home you thought you were getting.

I would do a great number of things before I work with Woodside again.

I’ve seen several negative reviews of this company. However, I want to note that we have had nothing but positive experiences with Woodside Homes. We built at the Legends at Thunderbird neighborhood and our supervisors, Norma and Lena have gone above and beyond to answer our questions and solve our problems in a very quick and efficient manner. When we moved into our new home, by coincidence, I have dealt with a serious medical issue also have been extremely courteous and supportive to me. They’ve asked how I’ve been doing and have offered help if I need it. I feel that they have made this developing neighborhood a community.

DO NOT buy from this developer. I’ve moved in for over a year now, there are numerous problems with the house and they never came to fix all of it like they said they would by the one year anniversary. Tonight after coming home from work, my garage door fell off, which finally triggered me to post this review. All of our tub enclosure is leaking, numerous cuts on my floor, lots of drywall cracks and nail sticking out on the walls and carpet. Even towel hanger is loose from DAY ONE. I reported all of the problems to woodside homes they do not bother to reply or takes two weeks to reply. They just left my leaking tub leaking for 6 months now. See my photo uploads on just a fraction of the numbers in my house and how long it takes their guy to reply to my messages, I’ve also emailed and call but all were ignored, these are all sent within the ones year warranty period.
